Modding the Ipod
 

Has anyone tried to modify thier ipod? such as the splash screen that comes on when you turn it on...stuff like that. Has Anyone done anything that doesn't include prying the expensive little bugger open.

I believe somebody got a version of Linux or something running as the OS of their iPod...

just personal reasons...i'd like my own "corporate logo" and things like that. but i agree it's pretty damn sweet as it is.

I don't think anybody has modded the iPod in the way you describe. You should check out the following three sites, which I think are the best iPod sites out there:
