Freelance Mixing Engineer
Well, let's give this a try...I suppose this fits in the category of "shameless self-promotion", also know as, "I need work".
I am a recording/mix/mastering engineer. Honestly, I prefer mixing, and I think it's what I'm best at. I recently moved, and I've started something new with a few of my old clients: remote mixing. Basically, this is what we do: they send me their tracks (I can accept a variety of formats) and I send them a CD, DAT, DVD, or whatever with the finished product on it, either mastered by me, or ready to be mastered by another engineer. Throughout the project, we keep in touch through a forum much like this one on my own website. The forum is fairly secure, and, other than the title, no one is allowed in unless I directly specify. Periodically, I upload mp3s to show the artist where I am with the project, and to bounce ideas of them for approval. I can be as involved in your production as you want me to be. If you want me to mix what you give me, as you gave it to me in the first place, that's cool. If you want me to provide creative input, and make suggestions, that's cool too. http://tim.komta.com/mp3/NGL2.mp3 is a project I recently finished for a client. For this project, I did the mixing and mastering, and I aided in many of the tracking sessions. Additionally, I did a bit of the programming you hear, and all the editing. I work in all styles of music, and I'm always looking to expand my horizons. To date, I've worked on rock, country, punk, hardcore, rap, hip-hop, classical, jazz, dance/club, and many that defy classification If anyone is interested in hearing more of my work, or interested in having me mix or master a project for you, please feel free to contact me. Either reply to this post, PM me, or email me at timtfp@komta.com Mods: if advertising like this is not allowed, please delete this post.
