Some great tracks mentioned already my fav being Guns n Roses sweet child o mine. But i thought I would add a few more classic ballads from the Brit rock scene, I would imagine these bands are not very well known in the states but trust me they have produced some great music in their time.

Journey's "Love Will Find You." Horrible video by the docks in San Fran but the true epitome of rock ballads.

Journey's full of ballads. Kinda like Queen...they were just born to make great ballads.
