Introduce me to a new style.
I love music & Im always on the look out for new grooves. I like all kindsa music too & dont rule anything out (sept maybe pop).
What Id like the good people here at TFP is to introduce me to a new style/sound, the more obscure the better. Try to keep the tracks to a minimum, Ill start, Something like this: Style: Turntablism Track & artist: Turntable TV by Dj Qbert. As I said above Any style will do & if this is a repost please forgive. |
british garage

Band: Fantomas
Album: The Director's Cut. Mike Patton from Lovage/Faith No More/etc...rounds up an eclectic group of artists and remakes the themes of popular movies such as The Godfather, Rosemary's Baby, The Omen, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer and many others in a seriously twisted way. I don't know what kind of music it is. We'll just call it strange. |

band: my morning jacket ok, i'm not even really a big fan of "alternative country" one of the more known groups of this genre are wilco or old 97's.. which i don't care much for. but my morning jacket! his voice kinda sounds like neil young and they've been compared to him so go figure. i like neil young too. heh style: brit-pop band: the doves style: techno/electronica? band: amon tobin |
good call on Doves (no "the")
Starsailor is also a good britpop band, as is Placebo. |
Style: I'm not sure, but scene.org evolved out of the demo scene into the awesome music juggernaut it is today.
Song: Pearls by Aisth. Location: http://www.scene.org/file_dl.php?url....zip&id=193039 On the upside, all of the music on scene.org is free to download, if you like that one, PM me and I'll message you a few other ones that are similar. [There is a LOT of content on scene.org] Also Winter by The Alpha Conspiracy, is good.. if you like electronica [also freely downloadable]. http://www.alphaconspiracy.com/ Once you get away from the labels, there is a lot of very good music out there that is just given away for free :) [Support your independant artist today!] |
