One day an Englishman, a Scotsman, and an Irishman walked into a pub together. They each bought a pint of Guinness. Just as they were about to enjoy their creamy beverage, three flies landed in each of their pints. The Englishman pushed his beer away in disgust. The Scotsman fished the fly out of his beer and continued drinking it, as if nothing had happened. The Irishman, too, picked the fly out of his drink but then held it out over the beer and yelled "SPIT IT OUT, SPIT IT OUT, YOU BASTARD!" |

i listen to some rap ... but mostly stuff from when biggie and pac were still alive... imo everything started going down hill after that... and nothing good really happened cept for eminem... and th rappers form before who were still doing their thing... oh and 50 cent is ok... at first i started thinkning he was gonna be the next savior of rap... when he came out talkign shit about ja rule for being a poseur as spussy... then 21 questions was released as a single and a video whihc was identical to ja rules put it on me video... i hope 50 takes the road less traveled by many of todays rappers and stays honest doing it his way...
bone thugs are the shit outkast, jurassic 5, the roots, the dub pistols... those are the most origional rap groups to happen in an extremely long time and they should gte more props for what thier doing |

I used to listen to some rap. Mainly Snoop, Dr. Dre, Eminem.
Nowadays i can't stand most of that "bling bling" "up in the club" crap that's out. I CANNOT stand Sean Paul. Or the Big Tymers. or any other artist that's even remotely similar to those two.

I listen to Eminem, but only in the car. I'm fussy. There's nothing better than driving really fast with "Without Me" on the stereo.

Roots, Talib Kweli, 2PAC, BTNH, Tribe, Mod Def, Dead Prez, Black Eyed Peas, Public Enemy.
I don't like much mainstream rap, except for DMX. IMO, DMX is the best popular rapper (wonder where he's been lately). He didn't really go into the whole "bitches/money" thing and just flows with such raw power. And this is coming from the biggest metal-head from the world's most right-winged, retirement community.

nah, i like a lot of rap, underground, mainstream, old, new. it's all good. i admit that the past few years of the major labels have been sort of weak, but things go in cycles and there have been some gems. some stuff that hasn't been listed: sage francis, buck 65, slick rick, lord finesse, bdp, epmd, redman, keith murray, de la soul, gravediggaz, prince paul, umc's, 3rd bass, hiero, house of pain, cypress hill, naughty by nature, big l, cage, big daddy kane, y'all so stupid, yaggfu front, two kings in a cypher, main source, ice cube, ice t, fat jon, organized konfusion, frek sho, peanuts and corn, busdriver, dorian three, awol one, illogic... i could go on, but most personal favorites are already listed in other posts, not that i wouldn't disagree with some of what's listed, but to each his/her own.
