What's so cool about Scatman John is that he couldn't speak a sentence without stuttering and crapping out entirely. He had it all his life until he discovered that he didn't stutter when he sang or rapped.
A rapping stutterer is about the most victorious person anyone has ever imagined ever. |

I remember the first time I saw the video for Scatman...It was about 5:30 in the morning, and I was getting ready to leave for work. It definitely brightened my day, and I almost bought that awful Club Cutz album for it...Then it was in Nothing To Lose, and seeing Tim Robbins flailing around while that song played made it one of my favorites...hehe.

I haven't heard that song in forever. I remember seeing it on mtv several years ago and haven't heard or seen it since. Such a weird song. Wasn't there like a bunch of grass and green in that video?

I absolutely adore scatman! And that's something, coming from a guy who usually listens to way out avant garde glitch music most of the time. It brings back a lot of fond memories of the 90's to me, but apart from that it's one of those really simple but EXTREMELY catchy and euphoric songs. And yeah, big respect to Scatman John (RIP), he sure conquered that stuttering

My buddy and I were fooling around on Kazaa Lite one bright and chilly hung over morning. I don't know how the word 'skat' was put in the search field, but it was love from first...err... well you know.
Spent the rest of that day sitting on my roof picking off cans with my bb gun. O those beutiful lost days of being hungover. |

I remember back when I ate at a local coney island in my "area" (the only way to be entertained in Durand, MI is to get out of Durand) someone I knew would find this in the jukebox and play it. Nothing like a lot of people looking up at each other, look around, and wonder what the hell they are listening to.
