Most Creepy/Disturbing Song Ever
This was inspired by the "saddest song ever" thread and all the tool/NIN references. What is the most CREEPY song you have ever heard? NIN has its few, but Tom Waits has "Earth Died Screaming" and "Black Rider." Truly freaky. Disturbing would be Tori Amos' version of " '97 Bonny and Clyde" Take your pick, and explain yourself.
|
some of the stuff of aphex twin's ambient works album. if i listen to it long enough i swear i will go insane.
|
Korn's Daddy song creeps me out.... just him talking about his father raping him is gross and creepy and just eww.....
|
Portishead's "Sour times" traumatized me as a kid
you also won't catch me anywhere near The Omen soundtracks |
the song itself isn't that creepy, but I vote for Christina's "Stronger Video" it was like a marilyn manson video with the song replaced by pop music.. it was... insane, and the way the girls moved was very very distrubing..
I think Soul Coughing's "Pensacola" rocked socks off.. the lyrics are very very haunting |
the song by counting crows where the guy wants to be with his sister
|
how about the handful of pixies songs that he sings about already sleeping with his sister
|
Anything by Acid Bath.
sk |
there's a korn song where he talks about beating and stabbing and f*cking his mother..... that's about as creepy as it gets, IMHO.
|
How about "The Most Offensive Song Ever" by Kenny and Mr. Hanky on the Southpark Christmas Album.
|
anything by "blessed are the sick"
|
Disturbed - Get Down with the Sickness.
Alice In Chains - Love, Hate, Love Both freaky but good. |
"Careful with that Axe Eugene" by Pink Floyd. I reccomend either the Ummagumma version, or the version on "Live at Pompeii".
Either way you're lured into the repetition of the song until Roger Waters lets out a banshee wail that will make your hair's stand on end. |
Akira Soundtrack - Requiem
or Illusion from the same soundtrack. |
Much of Floyd's artistry can be disconcerting at first listen. =)
|
definatly agree with JamesS
|
OUt of left field - how about "Winter Kills" by Yaz? Eerie stuff...
|
I always found Climbing Up The Walls by Radiohead to be very creepy..."15 blows to the back of your head...15 blows to your mind...". Christ I love that song. :)
|
eminem's amityville is quite disturbing. I can onlt begin to imagine what goes on inside his little mind
|
I would have to say that "Run Joey Run" from the mid-Seventies is really creepy including the death angel choir at the end.
|

Sketch Artist Composite by Boys Night Out is pretty grim. |
mercury rising by from autumn to ashes...read the sig... i cant imaine someone living their life in this way...i ve been down but i mean shit...so depressed so lonely
|
Jeremy probably.
I'll Be Watching You, I guess I try to avoid creepy-sounding and disturbing music, as there is very little of that in country... |
If you are wearing headphones, the Dillinger Escape Plan version of Aphex Twin's "Come to Daddy" is creepy as hell, because they panned Mike Patton's voice all the way to the right, so it's like he's RIGHT THERE in your ear going "I want your soul, I will eat your soul".
|
death cube k.. it's haunting
|
someone said the sickness by disturbed, thats what im thinkin, but just the 'interlude' part
|
disgustipated by Tool.
Try listening to that song in a dark room without looking over your shoulder a couple of times. Some of the songs off of Marilyn Mansons Antichrist superstar album had a pretty creepy sound to them as well. |
I think it was "Black Sabbath" by Black Sabbath. Sounded like a band possessed.
|
"Kim" by Eminem, The mix of the piano in the back and then the power of the chorus i thinks.
|
Revolution number 9 the beatles.
|

as beaufitfual as some of the music buckethead makes is... alot of it is distrurbing as fuck... especially what he does under the name death cube k...its ambiant sounds that im pretty sure if you fall asleep litening to them (liek i do bucketheads albums colma & electric tears) you will either die or wake up a psycotic axe murderer |
Anything preformed by Aphex Twin. Which was already mentioned, but needs to be said again. Also the song Where the Wild Roses Grow by Nick Cave. The song itself is rather sad, but if you think about it, it's truly disturbing.
|
I consider any song that over samples female orgasms to be creepy as hell. Lyrical content does add to the creepy factor too.
Probably not the same type of creepy that you originally had in mind, but still. Certain ambient tracks are pretty creepy, especially if it involves uneasy scratching noises. Yipes! |
'Dreams' by Delia Derbyshire, and some other guy. Early electronic music from the '60s laced with samples of people talking about their dreams of drowning, goes for about 45 minutes and is spine tingling stuff. Also, there is a song floating around out there called 'rectum' I think it MAY be by one of the daft punk guys. And yeah, as someone already mentioned Aphex Twin has some creepy sounds.
|
Throbbing Gristle - Hamburger Lady
80's industrial. Song's about a severe burn patient. There's also that vid out that blends Korn's [Dead Bodies Everywhere[/i] with scene's from incredibly violent anime. |
Quote:
The Ghost in the Shell soundtrack also has some very haunting music on it. |
Akira had some kreepy ass music in the movie and the soundtrack is probably just as eerie.
Also that Tool one with the little baby crying all echoy and shit, that is one of the creepiest tunes ever! |
Maggot Brain - Funkadelic
Cool, sick, twisted and it was the 70's. Thanks for listening. |
probably that i love you, you love me song from barney.
|
This doesn't exactly qualify, but the movie of Pink Floyd - The Wall creeps the hell out of me, especially "Goodbye Blue Sky".
|
gWarek2 - Aphex Twin from the album Drukqs.
On the first couple of listens you will think that it is just random non-musical noise mixed with screams and such. Give it a couple of listens and you will realise that it is just non-musical noise, but that it is non-music done in the way that only the Twin could ever manage. Hideously disconcerting, disturbingly beautiful! Listen to it alone in the dark....I DARE you! For more "non-music" of this sort check out Pierre Henry and Fennesz. |

...shame the rest of the film was pretty shit. |
I got a couple of choices:
Spinal Meningitis (got me down) by Ween O'Malley's Bar by Nick Cave Midnight Service at the Mutter Museum by Murder City Devils |
This one is a no brainer for me. Definitely "Fucked With a Knife" by Cannibal Corpse. All of their songs rank high on the creep out factor, but that one takes the crown.
|
Faith No More - "Edge of the World"
"Hey little girl would you like some candy? come sit right down lay your head on my shoulder it's not the point that I'm 40 years older you can trust me I'm no criminal but I'd kill my mother to be with you" And the piano... |
yeah, definitely down with the sickness by disturbed... a truly weird and sick song...
|
possum kingdom by the toadies
|
yeah Korn´s Daddy song is just way disturbing and creepy
|
Since my friend is a huge ICP fan I've gotten the "pleasure" of listening to a few of their songs while at his house. Let's just say they have some pretty disturbing lyrics.
|
anything by the whitestripes is very disturbing!
|
Malice Mizer - Beast of Blood. Especially the video makes me freak out. I mean, first of all: they are Japanese. Second: they sing in Japanese AND English.
|
Helena by Misfits. Its about a guy who falls in love with a girl and she doesn't love him back so he cuts off her limbs in hopes that she will need and love him. I have a few of the lyrics in my sig :)
|
If it hasnt been said already...
"Black Sabbath" by Black Sabbath lol I dunno...its just so slow and freaky...and Ozzy is insane. |
What, noone said "House of 1000 Corpses' yet? the newscaster before and after has always given me the willies.
|

Creepy stuff...had to do a lot of reasearch on that one to put my mind at ease :) |
For me, (and only counting mainstream music), My Name is Luka. Child abuse as pop music was pretty creepy.
|
The Wall by Pink Floyd is a disturbed album... from start to finish. Not as depressing as The Final Cut... but it is better.
|
clawfiner
not sure which album , not sure what titel but it goes about someone who wants to comitt suicide
" i am standing on the roof looking down " ... " i wont miss what i see" ... .. . |
Aisha - Death in Vegas
Great song...Great video...I was disturbed the first time I saw/watched the video, but then as it ended I couldn't stop thinking about what I had seen/heard...below are the lyrics...the video plays like a movie with a woman running through the woods away from a killer/rapist. We see her falling, getting caught, getting away, and then as the music changes, she enters a house and goes into a room where a makeup crew fixes her up. She then proceeds to enter the action again...it has to be seen, it's great. Aisha We've only just met And I think you ought to know I'm a murderer Babies need blood I have a portrait on my wall He's a serial killer I thought he wouldn't escape Aisha He got out We live in a cemetary A cold and damp place And science runs through us Making us Gods The rules are all Wrong Every borrusion (??) is justified They honestly believe dead bodies Anything goes around here I still want to to be human again What am I? What am I? I'm a murderer Aisha I'm confused Aisha I'm vibrating I'm a murderer The Gods all suck |
I'll agree with the Disturbed - Down with the Sickness but also say Team Sleep - Kool-Aid Party. The actually lyrics aren't scary really, but the performance is spooky.
|
Danzig's Black Aria- The entire album
He tells the story of Lucifer and the angels that were with him being cast down form heaven without any lyrics. |
Try listening to Type O negative covering the song Black Sabbath on NIB. The lead singers voice is real freaky.
|
idiotique and climbing up the walls by radiohead...
and disgustipated by tool.. |

JimmyTheHutt showed me this one. "Song For A Dead Friend" by Kevin Gilbert
|
birthday massacre, that's the fucked up shit right there.
creepy ass lyrics |
Aphex Twin - "Come to Daddy"
The song is disturbing, the video even more so |
Prison sex by tool. Way too catchy for it's lyrical content.
"I've got my hands bound, my head down , my eyes closed, and my throat wide open. Do unto others what has been done to you" Empathy with the Devil by Teargarden "My flavor is the stuff of locusts. Hot chili firebrand spitting volcano Teeth. Bleeding skies, sulpher mines... The foul breath of Satan's favorite gutter worm. You feel me when I'm close - an ice wind of steel stilettos hammered in your spine..." |
Nearly anything by Insane Clown Posse
|
Slipknot - Prosthetics
Even if you run...I will find you I decided I want you Now I know...I need If you can't be bought, tougher than I thought Keep in mind - I am with you Never left out fate, can't concentrate Even if you run... You will be mine! Ah, fucking you will be mine! Ah, fucking you will be mine! Ah, fucking you will be mine! I found you Leanin' out of a open window You laughed, our fingers clenched Too perect, far too carless I couldn't help myself - I just took you Dammit man I knew it was a mistake You brought it outta me Better make yourself at home You're here to stay You won't bother me...If you let me bother you All the doors are locked, all the windows shut Keep in mind - I watch you Never leave my side, never leave me, fucker Even if you run What the fuck is different Man, I can't believe I'm doin' this |

also, music-wise, if you've ever heard black heart processions songs... very dissonant and minor key signatures make it real haunting. the wall album/concept is creepy too. |

Nearly everything posted falls in the 'no shit' category of creepy. If I listen to a song with loud dissonant feedback & a droning bass then I better fucking hear a song about a guy fucking his dead sister while eating a kitten.
What creeps me out is a modernly speaking kitschy 70's song that sounds like any up beat folky easy listening song from that era. The writer is Gilbert O'Sullivan and the song is 'Alone Again Naturally'. I've heard the song plenty of times & never paid attention to the words, just one of those songs they play on an easy listening station. But then I paid attention to the lyrics - this song would make Nick Drake feel sorry for the guy. (and while reading the words think of a happy little jingle to go along with) In a little while from now If i’m not feeling any less sour I promise myself to treat myself And visit a nearby tower And climbing to the top will throw myself off In an effort to make it clear to who Ever what it’s like when you’re shattered Left standing in the lurch at a church Where people saying: "my god, that’s tough She's stood him up" No point in us remaining We may as well go home As i did on my own Alone again, naturally To think that only yesterday I was cheerful, bright and gay Looking forward to well wouldn’t do The role i was about to play But as if to knock me down Reality came around And without so much, as a mere touch Cut me into little pieces Leaving me to doubt Talk about god and his mercy Or if he really does exist Why did he desert me in my hour of need I truly am indeed alone again, naturally It seems to me that there are more hearts Broken in the world that can’t be mended Left unattended What do we do? what do we do? Alone again, naturally Now looking back over the years And whatever else that appears I remember i cried when my father died Never wishing to hide the tears And at sixty-five years old My mother, god rest her soul, Couldn’t understand why the only man She had ever loved had been taken Leaving her to start with a heart so badly broken Despite encouragement from me No words were ever spoken And when she passed away I cried and cried all day Alone again, naturally Alone again, naturally |
The ' Happy Birthday to you ' song , sung by the staff of Chi-Chi's restaurant . * shiver *
|
hehe most of the songs posted here arent really disturbing at all.
A lot of brutal death metal bands have some pretty gnarly lyrics. Vehemence, being an example. Lots of the lyrics are pretty gruesome / disgusting. Check it out if you dare:  http://www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/veh...ascreated.html But they are still a great band. :) |
the song "dead weight" by simon says is another creepy song i like. it has a slow and eerie feel to it, it freaks my g/f out every time i play it.
|
A little diddy called 'The End' by the doors...
Daddy? Yes Son. I want to kill you. Mommy? Yes Son. I want to fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhck you. That always disturbed me -bear |
*Ben,* a love song to a rat by a young Michael Jackson.
I used to play it to make my little brother cry. He still hasn't forgiven me. |
Barnie.. I love you You love me were a.... Ya know the rest...

rudimentary peni - it is just wierd and disturbing

Barry Adamson has quite a lot of creepy stuff on his records.
Both "As Above, So Below", and "Oedipus Schmoedipus" has tracks were lyrics and music melts into something truly disturbing. |
All the songs about incest or murder are well and good, but one simple song that creeps me out more than anything is "What a shame mary jane" by the Beatles + Sid Barrett. It's a good song but I can't stand to listen to it. That wail at the end..
.. One song has all of these beat though, and that is Avril's cover of Chop Suey .. |
what is that song thats like "DO YOU WANT TO DIE, DO YOU WANT TO BE, MY ANGEL!!!"
that shits pretty creepy -alec |
VAST, "Pretty When You Cry"
|
Violent Femme's "Country Death Song"
The narrator in the song lures his young daughter to a well and then throws her in. ...then hangs himself in shame. Gordan Gano's creepy voice makes it extra strange. |
Some of the creepiest songs do not sound that way at all. 'Luka' by Suzanne Vega is pretty screwed up and it was a big radio song. It didn't bother me so much until I had kids of my own.
Other stuff like that evades me at the moment... |
Creepiest I can think of now is "Budda for Mary" by 30 seconds to Mars. The actual lyrics near the end is kinda off setting.
|
eminem's "kim"....it grows on you though :-\
|
Try driving along an unlit road at midnight with NIN' s"Eraser" cranked up. Just the intro can make the hair on the back of you rneck stand up.
|
Fucked by a Knife - Cannibal Corpse
most disgusting song i've ever heard |
THE WIGGLES I HAVE CHILD AND THAT GROUP IS DISTURBING TO ME!!!
|
I don't know if anyone's heard of Wumpscut. He is creepy as hell. In his album Embryodead the last track comes after a couple of minutes of silence and its supposed to be the voice of a fetus complaining about his mother giving birth to him. There's also a lot of songs about rape and murder, but that embryodead song just gives me the chills when i listen to it
|
"We are the World" Various Artists
|
the music in afi's halloween is kinda creepy, same with fall children.

Videodrone - COB, seriously fucked up song. |
I'll toss in another vote for Disturbed : Down with the Sickness.
And I'll raise by Nirvana's Rape Me. And finally, the SpongeBob SquarePants theme song. spooky. |
