WEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm telling ya you guys / gals will love it. |
Ohhh ....one more band I forgot about
Lacuna Coil If you like atmospheric music with a touch of metal and goth, you'll like this band. They've got a hot woman as their singer, and she can put a spell on you when she sings. Check em out |
I don't think they are still together, but if you like Bob Dylan or the Replacements, you must listen to the Gear Daddies.

Something For Kate.
A very cool Aussie Indi band. Been bashing round in Aus for years and should be the next big Aussie band. (Following Powderfinger!! Blah!!) |
Dazy Head Mazy
Check 'em out, they're a folk rock, college type band out of the Twin Cities. Very good. They've got two albums. You can buy them at Best Buy. Very good, very good. |
Any of the bands on Fat Possum. Great nitty grity bare bones no frills blues..
|
Just look at my avatar.
|
As stated earlier, The Disco Biscuits incredible!
They have been on the forefront of mixing traditional jamband music with electronic music. They have perfected this over the last few years, and put on a hell of a show. I highly recomend seeing them live. They were recently described as "the matrix of rock bands." |

excellent musical taste (a.k.a. mine). Glassjaw is incredible, apex is so awesome, seen both of them in concert, same with hot water. Lostprophets would make for a great concert also. Man...too bad Andy is out of Apex....makes me sad. |
I'd say Radiohead, though a lot of people already do listen to them, and most that don't are the people I probably don't want to be listening to my music ;-) . Pretty much my sister (she ruins any music she listens to).
At the Drive-In was an excellent group...try out the Mars Volta if you liked em. Keith Jarret, Jim Hall, Al Hirt...good jazz stuffs. i think everyone should have a place for rage against the machine in their heart.. |
The Mars Volta, period.
|
So many good bands to check out that you guys have already listed:
String Cheese Incident Type O negative WIDESPREAD PANIC!!!! the Pixies Ween I can't just recommend one band/person so here: Pete Yorn Jack Johnson Bowling for Soup- just get over "Girl all the Bad Guys Want" and listen to the rest of the album Howie Day They Might Be Giants |
|
Jack Johnson
His message isn't profound or anything. I'm not even sure if he has one. It's fun music though. |
The best band of ALL TIME and still active today...just went to a concert that was attended by every other band in the area as they want to see the greatest.....Little Feat.......still playing absolutely wonderful stuff....
|
MOFRO - they are from Florida (like me) and have a great blackwater blues/funk sound. Enjoy
|
Sloan, definitely Sloan. They're one of the best bands out there and no one listens to them outside of Canada.
And everyone should listen to the Beatles, that's just common sense... |
Uncle Tupelo (or its modern incarnations Jay Farrar and Wilco).
|
Dream Theater
Drain STH Stone Roses Testament |
prefuse 73
|
blindside
i found out that theyre christian rock but youd never know it because their music is too damn good |
ANTHRAX just listen to their new cd.... you'll see what I mean
|
Mother Love Bone
|
Type O Negative
|
Mad Sin
|
The Mars Volta / Thrice
Do yourself a favor and start listening to them. |
Pick one? Remy Zero. Very underrated. Modern rock, mostly akin to Bends-era Radiohead, with a little U2 mixed in.
|
dead poetic... well maybe not i dont want them getitng big and i dont wanna hear "four wall blackmail" being played on mtv much like " the taste of ink", "what it is to burn", and "understanding (in a car crash)" was for their predocesseors.. however it would be nice to know more than 2 people who know about them that i can talk to about them...imo they are the best post-hardcore band wiht the exception of thursday
thursday - as i mentioned... they are probably the best post-hardcore band and even though "understanding (in a car crash)" got sum play on mtv and mtv 2 about a year or 2 back noone where im frome really listens to them too much |
