My First Electronic Album.. listen if you please
hello friends.. been a while, hasn't it?
i wish i could have interacted with you all more than i have, but a recent turn of events has hampered my online "social life".. anywho, i have completed a full-length album, paid the fee to have it uploaded (yes.. apparently everyone is charging you these days), and i would like to bring it to you all first.. because this board is easily the best gathering of bright minds on the net that i have yet found.. i want you to know that every song on here has eaten away at my time, and still continues to do so.. as an amateur with nothing but a laptop, years of experience, and a passion for odd creations, this is the best i've managed so far, and am constantly in the process of building and refining my work.. however, I would not have posted any of these songs were I not proud of them. my music is completely electronic, but on this page i believe there is something for everyone. "Insight" is a classic dance tune that begins somewhat holly-jolly and melts into an old-school Aphex Twin meets Autechre track.. The Coral Orchestra is a purely ambient piece and is easily among the loveliest tracks on the page.. the No Reps quadrilogy is my oldest work on here, and perhaps my most emotional, but is definitely difficult to follow, as the percussion is inspired by the eccentric beats found on early 21st century Autechre albums. "Bouncing Easter Egg" is probably the most accessible tune on the album, while "The Incline", it's dissonant counterpart, is perhaps the least accessible. "Song for Lambs" is something of a tribute to Radiohead's seemingly unstructued songwriting process. "Collective," introduced by the interlude "Euphoria," is my shot at creating a Venetian Snares-esque breakbeat track backed by my own style of ambience. Aanoibodi (EP) by .mr. tillis - Muziboo i would like you to know that I would not share this music with any other board. i see a lot of wisdom in the minds gathered here, and as such i sense a great deal of open-mindedness, which is obviously a requirement for the enjoyment of eccentric music. please listen to my music and feel free to compliment or criticize my work. i hope you all enjoy p.s.--as i continue to modify and re-upload these tracks, i will bump this thread. i am not so egotistical that i would desperately bump this thread in order to gain recognition.. on the contrary, criticism is what i seek. thank you Last edited by jnthnlllshprd; 03-15-2011 at 02:41 PM.. |
