I hate kazaa somtimes...

Well.. I am trying to download Type O's latest album... I get all the songs and in the middle of each of them is a guy telling me that their album is coming out soon... IT SUCKS.

I wanted to know if anyone has these songs set up on an ftp somewhere.. I am hoping to get the latest album.. Life is Killing me as well as the Bloody Kisses Album...

If anyone has any advice please let me know because I am looking for these songs on kazaa like mad.

Thanks!

Wierd how some people react to things differently. Our Lady Peace did this a while back, and I was actually happy to see them working with the technology of P2P instead of trying to fight it. I liked what I heard and bought the album.

On the topic of giving a FTP address that has the tunes, I'm not really sure that would be allowed here. That maybe considered 'accessory to copyright infringement' or something. I think it talks about it in some of the stickies around the board.

The only cure I have for how shity Kazaa is that you go out and buy the new Type O Negative album.

Give the band real support.

I don't mind that. Like thecow said, they're actually USING p2p as a marketing tool. I normally just download an album to see if I like it enough to buy it. If I do, I will actually pay for it.

Please buy the album.
That statement is important enough to me that I stated it in the harshest possible terms hence the editing of my post.

I agree, you should support a band but you should also be able to try before you buy. I don't even have kazaa(lite) installed on my computer anymore because of it's "suckiness." I only use ftp's and dc++ because I don't download mp3's. I only download .mpc's or lossless audio like .ape and .flac files. You never know how well people encode their mp3's on kazaa but if you join the right server on dc++ you can see the whole encoding process in a text file and tell if it's good quality.

What's wrong with downloading MP3'S*?

*......Of 25 year old music that I have on vinyl already but don't feel like recording on to my computer so I can listen to them more often

If it's good, support the artist.

I agree totally. If I dl a song and I like it I'm likely going to go buy the album, so I don;t mind the blurds in the middle. But if I don;t like the song, then I don't care if it has that in the middle. But what I do hate is trying to dl a song and then getting a 10 second section looped over and over. C'mon, That's not enough for me to tell if the song is any good!
