Best Albums of 2010? (so far...)
I drive a lot so at the beginning of this year I bought Sirrius Radio for my car and I love it. The thing is though that now all I really listen to is a few channels which don't play new music. I mostly listen to Lithium, the channel that plays all of the 90's era grunge music that I loved in high school so much and that kind of keeps me out of the loop on good music.
So I was wondering, what are any new good albums from 2010 so far? As I said before I really like old 90's grunge type music as well as Classic Hard Rock and some punk. Some of my favorite bands are: Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Wolfmother, Bad Religion, Rage Against the Machine, Rise Against, etc. I really enjoy Fleet Foxes, Modest Mouse, The Mars Volta, Atmosphere and stuff like that as well. Any thoughts on new music that I may enjoy?

Oh I should check out those. I am seeing the Deftones at the end of this month. I have only listened to Obsolete(yeah its very old) from Fear Factory but I liked a few songs from that album. Thanks!
Anybody else have any others?

So far for 2010 I have heard the following - I've bolded the ones that might tick your boxes:
Omega by Asia All in Good Time by Barenaked Ladies Here Lies Love by David Byrne and Brian Eno Ain't No Grave by Johnny Cash ABCDEFG by Chumbawumba Trans-Continental Hustler by Gogol Bordello Plastic Beach by Gorillaz Valleys of Neptune by Jimi Hendrix Heaven if Whenever by The Hold Steady Empire and Love by The Imagined Village Night Train EP by Keane Hang Cool Teddy Bear by Meat Loaf The House by Katie Melua Congratulations by MGMT My Best Friend is You by Kate Nash Together by The New Pornographers Of The Blue Color Of The Sky by OK Go Immersion by Pendulum Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones Soldier of Love by Sade Slash by Slash The Movie Songbook by Sharleen Spiteri Beachcomber's Windowsill by Stornoway Outbursts by Turin Brakes All Days are Nights by Rufus Wainright Wake Up The Nation by Paul Weller Under Great White Northern Lights by The White Stripes If I had to pick a couple of favourites, they'd be Here Lies Love - which is odd, but great. Beachcomber's Windowsill - a new classic; this will be one of the albums people look back on in years to come either as "First of a great band" or "Whatever happened to hem after such a great debut".

This came out late 2009, but I mention it anyway because if you haven't heard it yet you're gonna wanna go ahead and do that.
Before the Frost...Until the Freeze - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I love this album and so far it's the best stuff I've been listening to in 2010. Here's a sample- |
