Songs that get you pumped up
What's on your playlist while you're working out? I'm having trouble with creating a good playlist of my own - mostly due to the fact that I generally gravitate towards slower/calmer beats. But that doesn't work in the gym. What works for you?
Current songs that I have and work for me are (it's an odd mix, I admit): Kaskade - Move for Me The Smiths - This Charming Man Lady Gaga - Just Dance Matchbox 20 - I'll Believe You When |

There is more I need to add to that list, but that was the song that started my half mile walk to class every morning for 2 years straight. I always feel like drinking, running, or fighting when I hear that song.

When I'm going to the gym for an intense workout, I have a set of Front Line Assembly tracks I listen to. Tracks like this
(this picks up at about 1:45) About half the tracks from NIN - The Downward Spiral And this I was one of about 300,000 there to watch these guys live |

If you want some heavy beats, I'm sure you'll dislike the vocals for most of them(but they will get you going strong and feeling the urge to break shit)
In Coalesce With Filth And Faith - Carnifex A Vicious Reforming Of Features - After The Burial Snuff 2/The Resurrection - Emmure If you're into some good 80's rock, Bang Camaro (even though they aren't 80s I don't think) does a lot of good rock that isn't "Heavy screamin hollerin nonsense" as the first three are. Hear are some more Rock songs Eye Conqueror - Third Eye Blind Valient Thorr has some good ones You - Exies Passive - A Perfect Circle Wish - Alien Ant Farm Heavy or Why Part 2 - Collective Soul Bullets - Creed I don't care what everyone says, They still kick ass. Godsmack pretty much all of their stuff Hatebreed, Lamb Of God, Led Zeppelin, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax. So many songs/bands, so much based on personal taste. There is a good variety in this list, You probably won't care for the first three, but definitely check Bang Camaro and the songs thereafter. Good luck on the list. |
