Pink Floyd keyboardist, Richard Wright dead
Quote:
Damn, sad news. Everyone had hope for a reunion when they reformed a few years, certainly not to happen now. |
this is very sad.
hopefully, Syd and Richard are having a high time up in the clouds together. |
On the plus side, Waters and Gilmour will appear together if there's a testimonial.
A close friend of mine sent me a text today with this sad news, and when I got into the car tonight my iPod randomly selected the first Rick Wright solo album. An interesting bit of synchronicity. |
:( Sucks when talented people pass.

:( RIP Rick!

I read this at one of the musician forums, very sad news.

I heard a brief interview with Alan Parsons yesterday of the famed Alan Parsons Project and who also engineered Dark Side of the Moon. His statement was that Richard Wright was the nucleus of Pink Floyd. His exact words were that David Gilmour was a fantastic guitar player, but Richard Wright had much more musical knowledge than his band mates. He will definately be sorely missed!
RIP Richard! |
sad,sad day in music history............i fucking loved Pink Floyd........and could the boy sing or what.
he and Dave had smokin' harmonies.........a legend has died. RIP Mr. Wright............ |
