I saw him at the beginning of the current tour. I first saw him in 1980 for the Armed Forces tour. I was struck by the similarities of the two concerts. the '80 show was at the Paramount in Seattle, about 5000 seats. This tour I saw him in a 800 seat auditorium. He may be getting older, but he is still the Angry Young Man he was in '80. The show rocked!

Saw Elvis in Vancouver last night. Very good show, just him on mostly accoustic guitar and a piano player. Not sure hes as angry as he once was, more melancholy, but passionate. Lots of sophisticated jazz, but he still rocks too, plays with different arrangements of classics like Alison, Watching the Detectives and Peace love and Understanding. His voice is very strong and powerful, the last encore he shut down the mic and filled the hall under his own power. I reccomend it if he comes to your town.

he kicks every single ass in the venue, twice.
Like frankgrimes, I caught him solo (he had a piano player with him), playing both acoustic and an electric guitar. He ended the show singing acapella and unmiked and was able to shake the cheap seats of the Sunrise Auditorium in Ft. Laud. The power of his voice was surprising and astounding.
