So let me start with a story.

once upon a time, about 8 years ago, I lived in a lil podunk town yet I listened to, and worked on, music which only seemed to appeal to an audience of city dwellers.

What else were I to do if I couldn't just push myself to the world via the internet? I signed up for a site called www.thedjlist.com thinking "eh, what the hell, it couldn't hurt right?"

I never really took it seriously but apparently, a few people do. I let my profile there for years, even during my break away from DJ'ing

Since I've come back I've found a couple threads dedicated to some of my mixes and noticed that my DJ ranking was still sitting at 4000ish out of 200,000 other people.

Today, i'm in the top 10% worldwide.

To me, this is good, or even amazing, since I look up some Seattle Locals and think to myself "well these guys certainly don't need help from a site like this" and here I am, higher ranked than them.

what does this mean? That I have more national appeal overall, while they have higher local appeal? I cannot say for certain.

All I know is that I'm wanting to solicit an honest vote from people on this site who have listened to my work and would like to see me reap the reward of getting more people to find me online. If you feel like I deserve it, please take a moment to stop by the site and write it in.

I used to think thedjlist didn't amount to anything besides a popularity contest yet i've run in to a few locals who said they have recieved bookings through their ranking on this site, and ideally, i'd reap this as a reward as well

that said, I just ordered a portable recorder this weekend and it should be arriving this week. I will be doing my best to get some new and consistent updates of musical content for your listening pleasure.

I thank TFP for being such a great community to share this side of my life with as well as some of the other more personal side of myself.
