Raising Sand - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss collaboration
I... acquired this and I must say I like it. Led Zeppelin is my all-time favorite band and Alison Krauss is the bluegrass queen IMO. So when I heard this was coming out I was waiting in unbridled and breathless anticipation (OK not really but I did want to hear it).
So... it's weird. Not at all what I expected. I had to give it a few listens for it to smooth through my music centers. Robert Plant is far mellower and Alison Krauss is pretty smooth too. My favorite track is #3, Sister Rosetta Goes Before Us. Check it out y'all! /

I got it. Listened to it. Won't be listening to it again. Very disappointing.

Let me preface this by saying that i absolutely LOVE Led Zeppelin, and I really really really like Alison Krauss. For me this did not work. There are some things i like about this, like Plants voice... and some of the music is nice. With the exception of the "Nothin" track, i wont be sad if it never comes up on random again, and i wont be dialing this in to any playlists i create.
