Let's keep on the Blues Brothers theme but make it sort of easy. Name the blues legend that was the only singer to perform without any interaction with any of the cast.

From the film, you mean?

John Lee Hooker, if I'm not mistaken.

From the film, which makes you correct. And which makes it your turn again.

John Lee Hooker is one of the quintessential blues men who rose to fame in the fifties.

One of his contemporaries recently passed away. This man was known for writing boastful songs and also for his distinctive instrument. Who was he? And for bonus points, what about his instrument was different?

It's easy, yeah. I'm tired.

Gotta be Bo Diddley, but I can't remember what he did with his guitar other than build it himself out of a box.

OK,
looks like we need a kick start. Vince Gill was a member of what band in the early 80's?

OK, it was Pure Prarie League. How 'bout an easier one:

Eddie Money was what before he got into rock and roll?

Entirely without talent? And getting into Rock & Roll didn't change that?

I don't know the answer, but I'm pretty sure that Joan Jett is the only one mentioned thus far that is correct.

I can't name them all but pretty sure Joan Jett, Sandy West and Micky Steele were founding members. Also pretty sure Lita Ford was added later.

According to her... no. I met her at a chainsaw carving event on the north Washington coast. She does chainsaw art now.

Cheri was not a founding member, she was added later.

I'll give this one to Tully for having the most correct members first.

What blues-rock performer spent his early career playing minor league baseball while not touring?

Btw- here's a shot of Cherie Currie at a chainsaw carving competition-

It's not one of my shots, I grabbed it off her site. I had a beer with her and her SO at a Shilo Inn bar a few years back. She used to be married to Robert Hays of "Airplane!" fame. She was pleasant as was her friend.

I used to go to these things because I was carving. A friend of mine was trying to get me to enter once. Here's a few of my BETTER pieces:

Now look at her quality and look at mine. Yeah I waved off my friends advice. The event I met her at she carved a really nice looking mystic type lady with a long flowing robe. It was really something... but she lost to a guy who did an eagle catching a salmon out of water.

Only thing her and I have in common when it comes to carving is we both use the same brand of saws. From time to time I lift weights too. Not planning on trying out for the Olympics in four years either.

Good hint, it kickstarted my memory.

It's George Thoroughgood (or however he spells it).

You got it. George is a huge baseball fan, NY Mets.

He played catcher for a minor league team back in the 70's.

Quote:
Early in his musical career, Thorogood would take time off for the baseball season, even when he was in the middle of recording an album. For decades, Thorogood's favorite baseball team was the New York Mets. "I've always been a New York Mets fan," Thorogood told Sport magazine. "They crawled their way to mediocrity, and that was me. It was a team I could relate to."
George Thorogood Biography

Alright, let's see where this takes us.

This band of revolving musicians final album, entitled, Freudiana, was sadly never released by the band, as they broke up first. Who was it?

(The album was released, but not in the same format as had been planned, btw).

Guess I'll call this one done. The band is The Alan Parsons Project. They broke up before releasing the album, but one of the members went solo and turned it into a musical.

So, new question:

This band, originally a fictional band spoken of on the first episode of Mr. Show, is really a sideline project for a member of Tool. He claims it's as much a clothing line as it is a band. What's the name of the band?

The Alan Parsons Project, should have got that one. Well I did get it... but only after googling it.

I'm really out on this one though, never even heard of "Tool." But it's a great band name.

Side note on the Alan Parsons question and I believe it was one of my questions at one time. Alan Parsons was the Principal Engineer on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon"

Maynard's only been associated with 45 or so projects. I'm pretty sure Pusifer is the one on Mr. Show though. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'll be back later with a question.
