Music similar to Brokeback Mountain soundtrack?

I really like the sounds of the guitar in some of the songs on the soundtrack for Brokeback Mountain. Does anybody know where I can find more from the same artist or more of the same genre? What genre would it be considered? Let me know if you don't know what it sounds like. I could try to find a clip. Thanks.

I was able to find that much out. I was wondering more what kind of genre to look at.

The problem with this question is that his music is not genre specific. He uses elements of numerous genres to create music. I'd start by researching the articles about him and then sample music from his influences.
