Artist of the Week! Part 1

I've been wanting to do another recurring post similar to my On DVD this week thread I had going last year. I figure I'll try an artist of the week here in tilted music. I'll post some videos and maybe a little extra. If you've never heard of the artist, feel free to give your first impressions. Discuss favorite songs, personal concert experiences or post more videos if ya got em. Let's get started!

My first artist is the week is... BUCKETHEAD

First, an introduction...
Buckethead with Primus - The Ballad of Buckethead

Now the Good stuff!

WhiteWash

Nottingham Lace

Padmasana

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckethead
from wiki:
"In an interview with Revolver, Ozzy Osbourne stated that he had offered to have Buckethead play guitar in his band at Ozzfest. Ozzy quickly changed his mind after meeting with him when Buckethead refused to go on stage without his disguise:
"I tried out that Buckethead guy. I met with him and asked him to work with me but only if he got rid of the fucking bucket. So I came back a bit later and he's wearing this green fucking Martian's-hat thing! I said, 'Look, just be yourself'. He told me his name was Brian, so I said that's what I'd call him. He says, 'No one calls me Brian except my mother'. So I said, 'Pretend I'm your mum then!'. I haven't even got out of the room and I'm already playing fucking mind games with the guy. What happens if one day he's gone and there's a note saying, 'I've been beamed up'? Don't get me wrong, he's a great player. He plays like a motherfucker!"

I have a few artists lined up for the next few AOTW theads but if you want to suggest artists I'll do a lil digging and see if I can fit them in. It'd be even better if you provided links to videos to use in the thread. That's not required though

Check out the discs by Praxis for some great Buckethead playing. It's a progressive "super group" with Bootsy Collins on bass, Buckethead on guitar, Brain on drums, and Bernie Worrell on keyboards:

Ah yes! Excellent post Derwood. I wanted to post a video of that guitar solo but the one i found was really bad quality and cut off about half way through the starwars part. The beginning definitely puts me in the mood to watch Halloween
