A gift from the musical gods...
Omigod... I can't turn it off.
NIM VIND Jesus Walk-On-Water Christ! That good. Canadian horror punk group. Unbelievable. Bizarre flavor. Amazing vocals. Crazy ambient feeling. www.NimVind.com If you hear "In The Night" once, you'll be singing it for a week. I can't stop. "Astronomicon" is like some kind of twisted early '60s surf dance song. Heck yes! ...... (wonders if you kids listen to Britney and Justin and will hurt his feelings) (gets out flamethrower) |
Wow, sounds pretty damn good to me. Will have to find more of these guys on the interweb.

Really that's punk? The punk music I remember from LA was a lot angrier and screamier than this. These guys have too much musical talent for the angsty anarchist stuff I recall as punk rock.

to each their own, but i'm thoroughly unimpressed
|
Well, punk started back in the day... Sid Vicious / Ramones... then the Misfits defined what it is to be horror punk. Everybody has to respect the Misfits.
Today the patron saints of horror punk are rowdy hombres like Blitzkid, Die Monster Die, Groovie Ghoulies, Cryptkeeper 5, Atticus, The Vladimirs, Mister Monster, Calabrese, Monstamob, and Nim Vind. Yeah, that stupid anarchist crap like Anti-Flag and what-not... screw it. My mohawk was a symbol of inner peace. But-yeah, I highly recommend the above mentioned bands. If you like old horror movies and punk music... you'll love the combination of them. |
Eh. I'm more into hardcore punk that the very original stuff I guess.
