So Are You To Me by Eastmountainsouth
In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel (prolly because of Say Anything haha) Congratulations by Blue October and Imogen Heap (really more heartbreaking than anything. Kinda romantic.) Colorful by The Verve Pipe Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx Open Arms by Journey When You Say Nothing At All by Alison Krauss and Union Station Wake Up by Coheed and Cambria (also heartbreaking, little wierd, but very sweet) Brighter than Sunshine by Aqualung Citadel of Stars by Iver (All time favorite I think. I should add that the band is a guy and a girl, two pianos.)

The Hot Club of Cowtown - Polkadots and Moonbeams The Cardigans - Lead Me Into The Night Fleming and John - Don't Let It Fade Away* *Its not really a love song, as much as its a "If you don't love me anymore just break up with me okay?" song

I'm suprised no one mentioned "The Darkness - I Believe in a Thing Called Love" yet, they have a few songs touching the subject and theyre quite good.
Also: A Kiss to build a Dream On – Louis Armstrong I Touch Myself Lyrics (sung by Scala - i recommend them to anyone who likes rock music, it will blow you away, origynally performed by The Divinyls) |

I have to agree with DMB - Crush and The Cure - Love Song (as well as the 311 cover).
Also... Oasis - Wonderwall Lovehammers - Trees Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars (I know it's been overplayed by the radio and has become the anthem of teen girls everywhere, but I liked it before the radio picked it up soo I have to add it in here) O.A.R. - Love and Memories Dashboard Confessional - Hands Down The Doors - Light My Fire |

I'm glad Bill O'Rights brought up Frank. I'd be upset if this thread had gotten this many replies and nobody had thought to include any Sinatra. That said, a short list:
Aerosmith - Amazing Don't Wanna Miss A Thing Crazy Love In An Elevator (well, sort of) Barenaked Ladies - Alternative Girlfriend Be My Yoko Ono Call and Answer If I Had $1,000,000 Jane What A Good Boy most of their stuff has a cute/charming vibe... Cheap Trick - I Want You to Want Me Derek and the Dominos - Umm... well, their one and only album is called Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs. So, Layla and other assorted love songs. Elvis Costello - Alison Shipbuilding These are pretty songs as long as you don't listen to the lyrics too closely. They get a bit creepy when you do. Foo Fighters - See You February Stars Walking After You Everlong Razor Surprisingly, Grohl can write a good love song. Everlong is pretty rockin and See You is nice and boppy, but if you want sappy Walking After You is about as good as it gets. Frank Sinatra - In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning It Had to Be You I've Got You Under My Skin Send In the Clowns The Very Thought of You The Way You Look Tonight These are all great and I don't think I repeated any of BoR's suggestions. Send In the Clowns is a bit melancholy, but the rest are all very sappy. Guns N' Roses - Don't Cry Sweet Child O' Mine November Rain Hootie & the Blowfish - I Go Blind Hold My Hand Only Wanna Be With You Yeah, I know I Go Blind is a cover. I prefer Hootie's version. Jack Johnson - Banana Pancakes Belle Bubble Toes Sexy Plexi John Mayer - Back To You Come Back to Bed My Stupid Mouth Your Body Is A Wonderland Journey - Don't Stop Believin' Yeah, it's a love song. Sort of. Kind of. Okay, I just wanted to put some Journey in and Open Arms is already in here. Love is an element in this song, good enough for me. Led Zeppelin - All My Love Marvin Gaye - Err... well, anything really. The Rolling Stones - Wild Horses The staple of high school dances everywhere And I think it would be a sin if I didn't mention The Sweetest Thing, by U2. Even people who don't like U2 like this song. It is the quintessential love song (and should be, considering how it came to be). EDIT - Hagatha beat me to November Rain, but a quick glance over the thread leads me to believe that's the only repeat.

My all-time favorite is "If I Could" by Phish, but it doesn't work for everyone.
"Take me to another place, she said Take me to another time Run with me across the oceans Float me on a silver cloud If I could I would, but I dont know how ..." I love it because it is so honest.
