Awesome news for all the power/epic metal fans out in the audience, Blind Guardian will be doing a North America tour in November/December '06 in support of their new album, A Twist in the Myth, which is coming out in September. Leaves' Eyes (who I have never heard of before) is opening.

The venues didn't post over, but they're all up on www.blind-guardian.com if you want to make sure you know where they're coming. I've been a fan for a good ten years now, and this is my first shot to see them live. I couldn't be more excited.

It also helps that the SF venue is the Fillmore, which is literally 100 feet from my apartment. \m/

Well, Lawrence is a couple hours away, but I'll definitely have to go see this if I can. At least I have plenty of time to plan for it.

Wow, they are actually coming to a venue nearby! This is fantastic! I absolutely love the new CD and the B side of the Fly single with Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida.

wtf dude you like metal and you live in SF and you never told me???

I wonder how many of the same shows we have gone to without knowing. Well I'm definitely going to this. Blind Guardian is one band I've been waiting to see for a while. Leaves' Eyes is decent, not my fave, they have some good tunes but they're a bit hackneyed too for female-fronted metal.
