My Gilmour @ Radio City Report
I saw Glimout last night, Apr. 5, At Radio City in NYC. He was awesome and had a few surprises. David Crosby and Graham Nash were there and sang with him on a few songs. Here is the set list.
He started right at 8pm with the first set. The first set was the whole new CD but not in the order the tracks are in on the disc. Castellorizon, This Heaven, Smile, Red Sky At Night, Take A Breath, Then I Close My Eyes, On An Island (w/Crosby & Nash), The Blue (w/Crosby & Nash), A Pocketful Of Stones, Where We Start. He took a 15 minute break. SECOND HALF: Shine On You Crazy Diamond (w/Crosby & Nash), Wearing The Inside Out, High Hopes, What's Uh The Deal, Breathe/Time/Breathe Reprise Echoes Encore: Wish You Were Here, Find The Cost Of Freedom (w/Crosby & Nash - one of their songs), Comfortably Numb What's Uh The Deal was great. I never heard it in concert before. He sounded awesome. Find the Cost of Freedon is a CSN song. Crosby, Nash and Gilmour sang it a cappella (sp?). They sounded fantastic together. The highlight of the show was Echoes. The beginning was shortened slightly. It was almost exactly 20 minutes long. The album version is 22 minutes long. I can't say enough about how good it was to hear Echoes. It sounded incredible. It is a memory that will last forever for me. Dick Parry (he played sax on the Wish You Were Here Album) played sax. His Shine On solo was right on the money!!!! The only negative thing I have to say is Rick Wright's voice just doesn't cut it. Someone else should have sang his part on Comfortably Numb. |

Haven't heard his new album yet... but the second half looks like something that I would sell my soul for.
