that Coachella lineup looks pretty good. My friends want me to go to Bonaroo with em this year but I hate hippies so much.. I don't think it would be a good mix.

Middle Tennessee in June surrounded by hippies. Now don't get me wrong ... I don't dislike hippies. Heck I was raised by hippies. But thousdands of them in the month of June in middle Tennessee? I don't think so. There's not enough air freshener in the world to make me comfortable in that steaming, frothy latté of human sweat.

Why do they have this thing in June? June = 100° and higher on average around here; plus the humidity.

October ... now THERE'S a good time to be in middle TN ...

I went to ACL last year, and the biggest problem that I came across was that a lot of bands had to cancel due to Hurrican Katrina. It was also stupid hot, averaging 108 in the shade leading into the night.

Artists I wanted to see, but had to cancel:
The Ditty Bops
Tegan and Sara
Kate York
Mindy Smith
Inara George (was on the lineup early in the year, but dropped for whatever reason)
