Our new toy! (MINI)
Ever since the movie "The Italian Job" came out, my wife has been infatuated with getting a MINI. I've been racing my honda at Autocrosses for a little over a year, only to be beaten in my class (H-Stock) by a MINI Cooper.
A few months back, the owner (who I've come to be friends with, and knew my wife loved his car) let me know that he would be selling it soon. For a few weeks, he fought himself, changing his mind several times. I was able to get financing, only just after he'd decided that if I was not going to purchase it, he would hang on to it a while longer. Without any arm twisting, he decided to go ahead and sell it to me on the condition that I continue to race the car... which definitely will not be a problem. So, without further ado, here are a few photos I took the night after it came home... The car included an extra set of 7-hole MINI wheels like what is seen in the photo (except they are silver), a set of 16" SSR Competition-knockoff wheels with Kumho Victoracer R-compound tires (for autocross), a Schroth Rallye 4 harness for autocross and track days, as well as all of the toys and gadgets that came with the car when it was purchased new from the dealer. My wife will be driving the car daily, and I will be racing the car on weekends at autocrosses and hopefully a few track events in the coming year. Just thought I'd share with everyone! I guess the only thing left to say is: Let's Motor.

The previous owner will be racing, but in a different class. I hope to make him proud by winning in my class this year and taking home the region championship for H-Stock.
