Richard Burns, Dead at 34
I'm a little late with this thread, but former WRC Champion Richard Burns died on Friday at the age of 34, after battling a brain tumour. He was such a great driver,I remember when he won the 2001 championship for Subaru I ws so happy. He will be missed by all, RIP Richard.

I heard about this, sad day for motor sport. Especially as it look like he was getting better. The best thing i can say about the guys is - what a driver. Amazing qualities he had and i'm sure he'll be sorely missed by all us fans.

They had a great tribute to Richard on Top Gear this week, rather than show the usual motoring news they did a video tribute to Richard, and Jeremy talked about him coming by Jeremy's house to play video game rally with his son when his son was about 7 or so and how Richard could never beat him, then when he was leaving he'd say he let him win. Seems like he was a really great person, it sucks I'll never get to watch him race again, WRC will never be the same for me.
Just found this video on another forum, rather sad, brought a tear or two to my eye http://www.rallystuff.net/forum/BurnsTribute.wmv
