Blinker problem
Hey all you car folk...
What's wrong with the blinker when it clicks insesantly (the front turn signal goes the same speed the sound goes... kinda like it's on speed)... The back turn signal isn't working anymore and it only happens when you turn on the right turn signal. It's a Chevy Malibu... I think a 99 or 97. What do any of you reccomend? Is it just a new bulb in the back that will fix the problem or is it in the wiring? Thanks! |
Probably just the bulb burned out. Change it first then check other things like the flasher relay and the wiring. Sometimes the GM sockets overheat and melt but I haven't seen that on one newer then 95 yet.

Malibu taillights are famous for the circuit boards burning out. They are pretty easy to change, but they cost about $50 for wach side, plus the cost of the bulbs that are scorched.

lt1s10 has the right answer. Most cars these days will flash the turn signals very fast to let you know a bulb is out.
