The first is a Lotus Europa. Always wanted one. Have ridden in one and they are fantastic little cars. Emphasis on little.

The others will take some internet research. The last I thought was a Talbot Lago but after looking at it, I'm pretty sure it isn't. Headlights and grill don't look like a TL. I sn't the third one a Ferrari?

I love the Europa!
Second up is a Fiat Dino Spider - Ferrari v6 under the 'bonnet'.
Third is a Lamborghini. At a guess it's a 400gt, but I'd be happy for any pre-Miura Lambo expert to tell me I'm talking cack.
4 and 5 are also a little too old for me to help out with, but I do like those crazy upside-down wipers on the red one.

4 is Peugeot, but I'm not sure which. Could 5 be a 100% original custom?

Rippley 08-02-2005 05:30 AM

5 is an Alfa for sure - you can see the logo on the nose. I think it's from the 40's. The open version of that thing is one of the rarest in the world running into the 10's of millions of Dollars...

Edit: Ok, not sure on the rarity issue, but it's from '32, so I was a decade off:
Ok, this link is far less gay

#4 is a 1933 Peugeot 402 Darl'Mat Roadster (I enlarged the sign).

There was one of those Lotus' sitting at my local 76 gas station forever.
Always thought it was kind of weird looking.
That last car is just beautiful though.

The Lotus Europa has always been my favorite car and I actually bought one about ten years ago (still own it and drive it).

I'd love to know what the silver car is behind the one in the last photo.

All beautiful cars!

Where does your doctor friend live and what is his last name if you care to say? I'm acquainted with the majority of Europa owners in the U.S.

rideough 08-14-2005 11:20 AM

He was in Canada as a matter of fact. I'm not sure if the dog was mean but at 60mph all dogs disagree with Lotus Europas!
