BadNick 07-07-2005 11:46 AM

Congrats and good luck with it. Little pic looks clean and in good shape. That model has a nice, clean, simple body style and with that hardware you list it should be a blast to drive.

Does it run on unleaded regular or just high test?

thadon 07-07-2005 01:49 PM

looks pretty cool, paint looks updated, I bet she hauls azz

paddyjoe 07-07-2005 02:39 PM

Runs on regular.....thx god for that!

Its a blast to drive, also found out after getting it to the shop that she's got possi-track rear end, I left some rubber down!

P.S. The rear wheels are 295's:D (really wide)

Ya she will be there!

Note: Didn't get any pics taken yet, she is still at the shop waiting for a safety!

Looks like a lot of fun - Congratulations on the purchase! I bet it goes like the clappers too, i really like the clean lines of it. Pity we don't see more old chevs here in Aus.

Scorps 07-09-2005 10:34 AM

I guess wednesday might be the latest to get pics of it!

EDIT:
Well bad news today the starter s fired (I hope), but it might be the flywheel and please let it not be that, I don;t feel like dropping the exhaust and trans. And I gotta drop th exhuast because its a "H" pipe:(

Thats one thing that piss's me off is having to roll around on the ground under a new car before I even get to really brake it in.

RGHoskins26 07-11-2005 01:50 PM

very very nice G-body.

merkerguitars 07-11-2005 09:32 PM

Nice ride, looks like a good keeper, make sure you properly shim the starter, chevy's can be really finicky when it comes to starters.

I think the starter is fried, but I hope its just the starter and not the flywheel also :hmm:

but besides the starter problem all I need is a make shift horn to pass safty (Had a custom one in it when I bought it)

Update

Sorry still not pics because this whole time it has been locked up in a shop!.

But finally got it up on the hoist to get a look at the underneath of it!
it needs some work:

- U-joints
- Starter(headers cooked it)
- Rear brake calaipers(sp)
- Rear brake shoes
- Fuel pump (leaking)
- Rear shocks are starting to get bad but not leaking.....yet!

So ya it needs some work but when she is done look out:D

Scorps 07-30-2005 01:06 PM

Finally

Got some pics not the best, but my webcam isn't meant to be a camera:)

Rear calipers on a 1981 Malibu? Did someone do a conversion on the back end for that?

That's a sharp car, though. Have fun with it...don't get too many tickets with it!

Scorps 07-30-2005 08:32 PM

No there are drums on the rear....

DEI37 07-31-2005 07:28 AM

Then I'd bet you don't need rear calipers, do ya? :p Probably the rear wheel cylinders are out of it, 'eh? Those can either be a pain, or really easy. I've had 'em go both ways. Hopefully, yours are easy.

Oh that was my mistake...I had them fixed.....
