Maybach Exelero - WOW

Quote:
700 horsepower and a killer body, the Maybach Exelero may hint a new high-performance model from the ultra-lux sedan maker. The V-12 coupe is based on the Maybach 57 and designed to test a high-speed tire for the German tire manufacturer Fulda. The Exelero needed to surpass the 188 mph mark for Fulda. The super-Bach can get to 55 mph in 4.4 seconds with the help of two turbochargers and 740 ft-lbs of torque. We were amazed how finished the interior was

I think its absolutely amazing! if i had money to play with, this would definitely be purchased

thanks to jmill from another forum for this

mercedes' influence is very strong on this car. clearly borrows its profile views from the new CLS [especially the rear window to the C pilar.

as for "50's futuristic"... thats exactly it!! haha

that is so freaking awesome. I too was thinking batmobile when I saw it, and with 740 ft.lbs it would damn near take a jet turbine to top it!

The headlight design and placement reminds me of a very angry Toyota Celica...

I think if they just tried to make it less "aggressively" styled and more classic, like the touring Maybachs, it would be a much better looking car. Oh, and where's the trunk? :P

I know, right? Would be a shame if this car couldn't be used as a grocery getter.

Gotta agree with the "don't like it" crowd. Gets lots of points for gee-whiz factor, and obviously lots of juice, but that thing is just ugly. I like the look of the Cadillac Sixteen or the current crop of Bentleys better. Clean those lines up Maybach, act like you've been there before.

This car, the Bugatti Veyron, and the SEAT Cupra all look remarkable alike. I guess long, low, curvy cars are the new thing. I like them all, but this might be my favorite.

It's a once off, and will not be produced. It was made for a tyre company no less.

On the other hand, if you have a spare $750,000 lying around, you could buy the "regular" Maybach.
