magpie im gonna guess maybe u like...musclecars or maybe u just ride a bicycle or have no clue about anything automotive.. Stupid looking cars? If you clikc the first gallery in your link, one of the cars is a red ferrari..ya we all know how stupid ferrari's are. Oh ya and the nissan skyline, so stupid looking thats why it was never released in the us . Maybe you should have looked through some of them before you posted this. Side note; there are a couple of waaaay overdone show cars in there. But thats the idea behind show cars, being unpractical and crazy.

Hmm.. I'm not sure what's worse--Japanese or American rice.
The Japanese riced-out cars are definitely even more hideous than most cars I see around here (WTF is with the oil coolers mounted on the bumper with the hoses going into the grille and the 10 foot tall tailpipes???), but they (hopefully) realize that and are trying to see how weird and over the top they can go. American ricers on the other hand, seem to genuinely believe that a giant wing, unpainted ground effects, a black hood, and a coffee can muffler somehow transform their 110hp Civic into a Ferrari. That's a tough decision. |

For your information, I dont ride a bicycle, This is my ride of choice: & I know what a Skyline is. Next time Im naming a post Ill look through every one just to be sure of accuracy. Perhaps some kind of indexing system could be set up, Ill get onto it right away & sorry for the mixup. Perhaps I should remane the post Many car galleries. Some of them contain stupid looking cars whereas others, the first one being a perfect example, contain cars which are decidedly not stupid looking such as Nissans Skyline (which is not available in the US) and red Feraris. Now that has a better ring to it, dont you think?

what's the story with the "airplane-tickler" exhaust on some of those cars?? Also, just because it's in a show doesn't make it a show car.

I'm afraid... what if that stuff makes it's way to the US? If I see a Civic on the road with a 10 foot tailpipe and and oil cooler on the bumper, I swear I'm going to laugh so hard I hit a tree.
EDIT: In the gallery that Todd linked, there are 2-3 cars with something hanging off the right side of the rear bumper. It looks like a teething ring or something... WTF is it? Last edited by DJMala; 04-22-2005 at 09:40 PM.. |

And I think they take the 5 foot exhaust extentions off when they're driving. edit: while I'm at it and before anyone asks about them, the bent licence plates are to avoid speed/traffic cameras. If they actually get pulled over, the fine for a damaged plate is less then the fine for a missing plate. |

WTF is with all those ugly fender flares. I bet you could make one ugly car with all those mods put together:
1. Odd looking bumper "scoops" 2. 5 foot tall pipes w/ coffee can 3. Lamborghini style doors 4. 2 foot wing 5. Fender flares, mismatched w/ the body paint 6. Bumper oil cooler If I only had some graphics skills, I could truly create the ugliest car in the world. |

Stupid looking cars:
(I guess that's to increase air resistance rather than fix the drag coefficient.) Rice: Good cars gone bad: (Reason: The black rim trend is the ugliest car trend since the mid 80's compact/boxy trend) (So close, I love the Extige) (Excessive body kits on the best looking car of the time) Good Looking Cars (Sexy.) (Probably the best bodykit job I've seen on an RX-7) Hopefully this will clear up the confusion.
