I don't think I could stand driving it daily... I'd be afraid of screwing up such a beautiful machine. But I'd be more than happy to take it for a few test laps at some point, just to see how it handles.

If you can afford the car, chances are you can probably afford to fix it too. Actually, if u cant afford to fix it, you shouldnt be driving that car in the first place. But i definately agree on the test laps, if its on someones elses money.

I really do like the look of the car, but I love the hp, torque, and hopefully better handling over the other vettes so far. This will be a hot car for sure.

Too bad it will be driven by a lot of old people below speed limit like most other vettes

Another car on my want-to-drive list. I heard though, I had a hard time handling well in fast and short turns... But I like the 6.26hp per pound!

Urmmmm I think you got those backwards. 6 horsepower * 3000 lbs = 18,000 horsepower. It's powerful but not quite that powerful.

dyze, u mean pounds per hp dont u? 3130 pounds divided by 500 hp = 6.26 If it were 6.26 hp per pound that would be 3130 x 6.26....that comes to WAY more than 500. I would love to drive a 6.26hp per pound car, that would be INSANE

Why the hell didn't someone at Chevrolet think, "Hey, we could go for the whole nostalgia thing wtih a nice, big '427' badge on the side"?

If I had one, I'd be machining myself some 427 Vette emblems right now.

You can prolly just get some "427" emblems off ebay for like 20-30$. Less work than machining them.

i would love to see one of the race type on the street. There was a guy in my neighborhood who had 2 full-race vipers, and he would take them on the street once in a while.

Love the power and the new look but I'm not feeling that little air intake ont he front, looks out of place. I like the C6 front end better.

at least it's a functional air intake. I hate seeing all the fake intakes and ducts on mustangs, camaros, older subarus, et al.

Wow. I really really like that car. The vette has really come of age. The new z06 seems to be hands down the best sports car for the dollar in the world. My only complaint is that the yellow and white colors don't appeal to me at all. The red and blue are gorgeous.

Top fuel dragster aren't as fun as the vette even though they are faster, lighter, and more powerful. They're not street legal, and they can't turn worth a shit. Just try getting one out of your garage (yes I know it won't fit in there but just imagine getting out of the driveway)

Not much of a 'vette fan myself, but that is impressive and it's been great the last few years watching the Viper and the Corvette try to outdo each other.

Better: they got rid of alot of the cheap plastic and now use more leather. Everything feels much better. They added a navigation system that can be displayed in the HUD. XM radio is now an option. Its alot cleaner looking than the C5 vette.
