Like the 350 GTS and the Miura Roadster before it, the Lamborghini “Concept S” is a unique car, an extreme and spectacular expression of the Lamborghini brand.

Created at the Centro Stile Lamborghini in Sant’Agata Bolognese by Luc Donckerwolke, Head of Lamborghini Design, the “Concept S” is his extreme interpretation of an "open car". Using the Gallardo as a basis, Donckerwolke drew inspiration from the classic single-seater racing cars of the past to create this latest design study.

The classic single-seaters did not have a traditional windscreen, but utilised the so-called „saute-vent“ (in French: a sudden change in the wind) in order to direct air over the head of the driver - and so does the “Concept S”. These devices divide the cabin into two distinct compartments, giving the car an aggressive and futuristic look and also creating a space between them that acts as an additional air inlet for the powerful engine, which is positioned behind the seats.

An electronically controlled, retractable central rear view mirror allows the driver - when required - to see what is happening behind the car.

The aerodynamics of the “Concept S” have been optimised thanks to front and rear spoilers and a large rear diffuser.

Don't get me wrong, I like the creativity, but I dont think separating the driver and passanger on a Lambo Gallardo body is cause for a "new car." Also, this has saftey crisis written all over it -- IMO, i dont think it'll make production

I looked once.. didn't think much. Then I looked again. I think it's image inspires a short-breathed rush of exhilaration. Makes me want to drive it.

It would be one of those cars that its hard to have sex in...

I dunno, i dont really like the division of the driver and passenger side, but i guess it kinda serves a purpose. Other than that, it looks good, IMO.

I did not like it until I saw the birds eye view. I am very intrigued.

No road trip hummers, don't like it.

Very nice. Always did like Lambos better than Ferraris.

Man that car looks like it can move. Maintenance is probably an expensive bitch.

For the price of this car - if they ever produce it - you probably get a video conferencing system with your passenger!

I like the way it looks and would want to drive it, but it does remind me of the old-school batmobile.

interesting and likeable, but i thought it was supposed to be a concept. it's supposed to be something new, not a tweek of something they already have out. All in all disappointing, would've been more impressive if it had been revealed before the gallardo

Hmmm... definitely strange looking, although I'd love to drive ANY Lamborghini, regardless of whether it's fugly or not! :)

Does that come in a 4-door?

yea the whole sectioned off is kinda fucked up.. overall tho.. not bad design.. but if anything.. id drive it.. but never buy it.. Ferrari's for life!

I suck at PS...but I was thinking of Batman and Robin's new ride.

I hope the people don't want to talk to one another, that's pretty strange. I'm a sucker for most cars that I know are going to go really fast, so I like it!

I dont really like this style of the lamborghini...I guess im still a big fan of the diablo...This is just lookin way to futuristic for me.. I guess
