Droool..... Koenigssegg....http://www.koenigsegg.com/ - soooo hot. Also, gunning for the 400km/h record, just like the Porsche 9ff that recently cracked the record previously held for a decade by the McLaren F1.

The design is hotly debated, but I personally find it to be beautiful.

actually, that's the CC8S, it's "baby" brother with a "meager" 655 hp, versus the CCR's 806

THIS is the CCR

"Koenigsegg".........?? Is that the same company that I remember years ago, tuning up Ferraris? I remember being in Switzerland years ago and I saw a Konenig Ferrari BB512 I believe. If it is, cool...they have broadened there horizons and are now making their own cars. I wonder if AMG will ever do the same. I'm sure they could if they wanted to.

The orange CCR looks amazing. I certainly wouldn't kick it out of my garage.

are they back in production? last year there was a fire at the factory, i remeber them syaing they were able to save most of the tooling and design work, but that production was going to be halted while the factopry was repaired.

Jeez, if your gonna do it do it right. Why stop with the outside of the car. The inside looks like shit. The gearshift looks like something you'd find in a UPS truck.

There's no connection. Koenigsegg is a Swedish firm, while Willy Koenig is a nutcase of German variety.
I love this car.
Oh and for the chap singing the praises of the 9ff, firstly I don't believe the car has been officially timed at over 241mph - or anywhere near (please correct me if I'm wrong) - and secondly it doesn't count as it's just a 911 turbo that's been toyed with and not a production car in its own right. The F1 continues to reign supreme, with only the CCR and forthcoming Veyron to worry about

I know I've read an article on the 9ff breaking the limit, officially, and not wanting to stop there, but continue up to 400 km/h. They went 392 km/h to the F1's 391, and they want to break 400. As for the production aspect, I'll have to to give you that one. You are correct, it is not a production car. But that's ok to me. I prefer the F1 over pretty much anything...a paragon of automotive performance and beauty.
