I'll take three.

im-fuckin-pressive. I have to wonder if they're right though - that this is a peak of supercar power and that we'll be heading towards greener supercars in the future. Seems like that's missing the point to me.

Hopefully they'll keep on making them just as fast, but with everything else being upgraded. Lighter, stronger, much more dialable electronics, and more advanced suspension systems (I wonder if the Bose suspension system would help an Enzo?).

GetRdone 01-29-2005 10:39 AM

I think that bose suspension will show up on a couple luxury or commercial vehicles, before it shows up on sport applications. Kinda how air ride did, and now u see it on everything including old muscle cars.

They left out the luxury when designing the Enzo. They said that themselves. Now the people who own it complain that it is not luxurious enough. I wonder if they are going to improve that at all.

jfelco 02-03-2005 05:04 PM

that car is friggin tits!!!

BoCo 02-05-2005 08:00 PM

big deal. we all new it'd happen. when the F40 came out, they denied they'd ever have an F50. then they denied ever doing something on the F50's scale again, only to make the Enzo. following the Enzo's successor will be 100 more years of super exotics that most of the world will never see, drive or own.

well, to this day, many claim the F40 to be a much better car then the F50. Some have even gone far enough to claim the F40 is better then the Enzo simply because its less computer controlled.

And for your latter statement, isnt that what makes super-exotics a super exotic?

I hope to god not, idiots who buy a car designed for pure performance and then complain that it's not as luxurious as a Bentley don't deserve to have the car. I mean, the car isn't supposed to be a car to cruise around, flaunting your wealth. It's meant to be driven hard, fuckwits! Buy a luxury car if you want luxury, don't buy a purebred sportscar, and try and dilute it.

I pretty much go along with that; it makes the F40 a more thoroughbred drivers car than later models. Sure, put all the gizmos in, but if you want a raw driving experience, getting you closer to the road, the F40 beats all the latter day Ferraris hands-down.

This isn't totally true though, but invariably if a car is more drawn on computer and by a committee, then it is less likely to have the soul and beautiful design that cars had years ago.

Sure, we have some darned good looking cars, but for me at least, they just don't get me going in the way cars did years ago.

vbuser 02-24-2005 08:17 AM

Wow ... I wonder where they got that first pic though/

mazagmot 02-26-2005 10:22 AM

I love the pic of the gto 288 in the third pic. absolutely beautiful.
