Try checking Summit Racing, JEG'S, or JC whitney

There aren't any "actual" kits I believe but what you will have to do is find some lever valves so when you press down on your brakes you can turn the lever to keep the caliper pressurized.
i looked at all those places but all they have are the ones that use electric solenoid

thats what i want but i dont know what i should look for to set that all up |
may i ask y u dont wanna use the solinoids? i mean if thats the most widely available, wouldnt u wanna save urself trouble and use those.
i dont want to use solinoids because they use electricity when they are closed so if i use it as a parking brake the car wont be on and it will drain tha battery
im not really sure if this would work but. could u put a high pressure valve in between your brake master cylinder and the brake lines, that way when u depress the brake and the lines are under pressure, you could turn the valve and lock the pressure in the lines, so it can recirculate. I think that would keep the brakes under pressure with enought force to hold as an e-brake.
that is exaktly what i am trying to do now the problem is that im having troble finding a valve that will fit with my metric ends.
hmmm, a manual boost controller for a turbo is a ball and spring valve, usually can hold decent pressure......but thats kinda expensive and may not provide the right force, it may help tho.
Search the net for a micro-lock brake lock they come in manual (cable) and electric versions. I wouldn't recommend using a line lock as a extended use parking brake because should the line loose pressure (from say a small leak at a piston) your 4x4 probably won't be parked where you left it.
Is there a particular reason why you would not want to just use a parking brake? Line locks are generally used in drag racing to lock the front wheels for burn outs.
the problem is that the land cruser had a parking brake on the trans case but we swaped out eh trans to an overdrive unit and the convertion stuff to ad the brake bake to he system is like 600 bucks so we just wanted somthing temporary till i can aford the kit
For temporary or cheap, nothing beats bricks especially when you go for cheap. If you don't wanna look so cheap you could always get designer bricks or even wheel chocks.
well i was rolling around the idea of a a boot with a padlock
