04/05 Accord?
Hmm well since my dad managed to total our second family car, we're down to one. While he borrows my aunts.. so I'm left with the beaten down miata (to cold to drive a convertible right now lol) Anyhow what do you guys think would be a good family car? I'm thinking about the accord sedan. Does anyone know the differences between the different years? What price they go for?
What else is out there around the price range? Camry?... mazda6? |

Well.. umm... the Accord will cost you anywhere between 17K - 28K depending on what you want in it. Either way, it's an awesome car.. my family has had a few of them and every car I've had has been built on the Accord frame. Other cars will give you comparable prices and features, but none will give you the same reliability. Love the Accord.

as a sentiment to reliability and longevity, I have a 1995 accord with 175K miles on it that starts up every morning, and runs GREAT! unlike most other cars, just keep up with oil changes and timing belt changes, and any accord will last you a VERY long time. Sorry I cant comment on the specific years and differences, but hope my post helps

In 2005 Honda is coming out with the 255 hp HYBRID Accord. My friend just put a deposit down on one of these and should get it late February. I think it cost him like 28K. He added the optional navigation system, premium sound, and some other junk. I got to drive one that the factory had and fell in love with it. Though I just bought a used Volvo s80 twin turbo. Your choice!

take a look at a lease return 03+ saab 9-5 aero. More Power, More passenger room, more trunk room, larger trunk opening, and handles far far better. overall feel is much nicer than the accord or camry.
Also makes peak torque by 2 grand, even though its turbo. |

Yeah, its an even faster Accord that gets better gas mileage. Leave it to Honda...
It gets the better gas mileage by cutting 3 cylinders when it can. (at idle, on the highway, when you don't need extra power, etc.) A few cool things about the '05 Accord: No spare tire. Instead, you get tire sealant, along with a small air compressor. And supposedly around 600 miles on a tank of gas. (!) (Pssst: The Saab has a dinky 4-cylinder engine. NOISY!) yea I actually totally forgot about the TSX... my friend has one very nice car. I was thinking about getting the tl... hmmmmmmmmm hahah but I think its to familyish for me... and I don't want my dad driving a 30k car since he doesn't take the best care of it. I'll take a look at the saab but I think they want a new car.
