one fine picture of your favourite car...

Post one awesome pic of your favourite car, or one pic of one of your favourite cars. Make this thread pure eye candy.

So here goes: Aston Martin AMV8 (2005)

Couldn't you have just followed the whole idea behind the thread and posted your favourite motor? The notion of a thread filled with pics of everyone's favourite car seemed like a pretty cool idea. What's your dream car Mr? Is it ok that I shorten Mr Mephisto to Mr?

also for your info:

Ford Motor Co.'s British super car subsidiary, Aston Martin, is preparing to launch the production version of its AMV8 Vantage concept, unveiled earlier this year at the Detroit auto show.

The so-called baby Aston will arrive in 2005, powered by a supercharged 4.3-liter V-8 engine rated at 450 horsepower and mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

It is the first of the new generation Astons to be built on the company's new VH (vertical/horizontal) platform that will underpin all future models.

Priced from just over $100,000, the small Aston will compete with the Porsche 911 and the Lamborghini Gallardo, among others.

A convertible edition is planned for 2006.

How nice of you. I'm sorry I "broke" the rules.

My favourite car would either be an XR6-Turbo, which I currently drive (in this colour coincidentally).

<img src=http://www.exoticcarsite.com/pictures/Cars/ford/xr6t/ford_xr6_turbo-2.jpg width=800>

Or a Porche Carrera GT, which I currently do not.

I'm also fond of the AstonMartin DB9

I'll play.

For playing... Here we have the sexiest '85 Corolla GT-S built right now. Which belongs to Brandon Lee, you can find more of thise sexy thing at, http://www.teamrice.org

For everything else... Here is a '97-98 Celsior/LS400 outfited with a Wald Exchange aero package and other trimmings. This hands down is my favorite car, sure it's a fake Benz, but it's just that sexy.

I can't understand why people want to "rice up" their (usually cheap Japanese imported) cars.

It looks cheap and nasty. But then again, that's just my opinion.

Why not go for something beautiful and refined, preferably British or German?

So your saying that all modified japanese cars are ugly pieces of shit? And oh yeah, not all souped up japanese cars are "rice." And although, yes he is a member of team rice, its not. There is a difference between doing something clean and ricing the shit out of it.

What goes from 0-60 in less than 2.1 seconds (that's faster than the Dodge Tomahawk), has a top speed of roughly 238 mph, weights 1872 obs., has one of the best engines in history (flat 12, mounted mid, of course), has a twin turbo helping to reach an amazing 1100 bhp @ 7800 rpm and 820 lb/ft @ 6400 rpm, and is produced by one of the most respected german manufacturers in history?

Why the 1973 Porsche 917/30, of course!

As someone who has an intimate relationship with Porsche going back to my childhood, this would be my favorite by far. I plan on building a replica in the next 7 or 8 years.

Aston Martin Vanquish S

Hand built 6.0 litre V12, 520 bhp at 7k rpm, 425 ft lb torque at 5800 rpm.

Top speed is more than 200 mph (321 km/h), the 0-62 mph (100 km/h) dash is accomplished in only 4.8 seconds while 0-100 mph (160 km/h) takes just 9.8 seconds. But it is the mid-range acceleration that is truly sensational; 50-70 mph (80-112 km/h) takes only 6.5 seconds in sixth gear.
