What year was leaded gasoline banned in the US? mods- if this is the wrong spot sorry.

it was made illegal to use in street vehicles in 1995. i had to look that up, and to be honest i thougt it was in the late 70,s or early 80,s

thanks, I heard a lot of differing dates. the most recurring was 1986, but it wasn't used that way exactly...so I'll take your word for it.

I googled it, and found that on January 1, 1996 the clean air act banned the sale of the little bit of lead that was still available.
