Putting my car on Jackstands

Year: 1999
Make: Acura
Model: Integra LS
Drivetrain configuration: Front Wheel Drive

I've recently been trying to do easy maintenance work on my car myself.
I have run into a problem when trying to rotate my tires though. When I jack my car up on the designated areas in the owner's manual (little small tab about a foot away from each tire)....I am not able to put the jackstands in place since the area that is supposedly safe to lift the car from is sooo small (about 2 inches) and because the car jack is already using that space. I would need to do this on both sides of the car, front and back.
Can anyone recommend another safe place that I can put the jackstands that will not cause damage to the car? I am a bit new to this so any help would be appreciated.
Also I have heard that I should rotate my tires everytime I change my oil...any truth to that?

Thanks in advance for any help on this....I don't want to spend $25 on something that I can do if I could just get my car totally off the ground.

Im not sure how your frame rails are underneath your car. You could put the jack right under the center between the front wheel and back wheel. But this really depends on your Jack? What type is it? Because some jacks are designed for jacking up each corner of a car, and some are for jacking up a whole side.

Each car has lifting points specified in the service manual. On a unibody car like an Integra if you jack it where panic has it shown it will bow the rocker panel on that side. Definitely not what you want to do. I'm not too familiar with Integras so I dont know the exact locations you can put the stands. As for rotating tires it is usually recommended to rotate them every other oil change, although if you drive aggresively and wear tires out quick, then doing it every oil change probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

Find a frame rail and put a stand under it. If you can't tell what's a frame rail, then have someone else do it.
