MINI Obsession in Drag

I found this on one of the MINI sites.... thought it was pretty interesting to see just like that Neon drag vehicle...

North American Motoring is happy to announce the existence of the MINIUSA Drag Car. The car was modified by the Prototype Technology Group (PTG) under the direction of Tom Milner for MINIUSA. This was a one of a kind production for PTG, which normally supports BMWUSA's highly successful motorsports program.

Wow,that thing must be really quick, since its so small. I wonder what it runs on the quarter mile, maybe with the nitrous, in the 9's. I thought minis were RWD, o well, guess not.

Wow, that thing has been completey gutted. It's got to be very light. And it's probably a little hard to get the tires to hook up on a drag.

You can't go wrong with a Pro Fogger system, but that is one sloppy-ass installation job. It looks like they just drilled and glued. I'm picky about that, but I guess I wouldn't complain If I was the one getting the extra 150hp (my estimate) going down the strip.

That is the fucking coolest thing I've seen...yeah that has to be one hell of a fogger system on it. Looks like they epoxied the mounts in for the nozzles since on a tightly curved intake probably couldn't mount the nozzles any other way.

NOS Pro Race Fogger, good for 60 to 225HP on a 4cyl, on a big block V8 it can give you an extra 600. Allegedly the world's most powerful one-stage system.
