New CAR !!!!
Hey, I finally have my project over... well part of it...
Honda Del sol with the b16z vtec... This winter ill try to fit a turbo in it... Alot of people said its almost the perfect motor... still I would prefer a nice h22a or a Integra RS Base and Sir Head (for the money) Anyways, tell me what you think about it: www.cardomain.com/id/light_hammer Its not finish... and I fix it up by myself and props goes to my father who gave me hes time. thanks |

When the Del Sol came out it had instant respect from me as the replacement for the lovely little CRX, and home to the then-unique VTEC 4-pot. It was also the first production model with the now relatively commonplace and well-trendy folding hard-top roof.
Are you sure you want to turbocharge it?! Anyway, I like the car; and will look forward to seeing it finished. |

Agreed on the altezza's, it's too 1998 for anyone to take it seriously. Slam it and give it a tasteful body kit, IMO. Stage 1 turbo, nice port and polish, big ass intercooler, sport cam, valve springs, maybe a chip, 4-2-1 ceramic headers, and a cat back. At least that's what I'd do.

if you want to go all-motor you should consider an ls/vtec swap. I've had mine for about 3,000 kms and the swap turned my car from a high 15 second quarter mile to a high 13/low 14 second car. If you want to go turbo, i've seen some crazy fast sohc motors that have been boosted, or you could drop a b18a/b for cheap and turbo that. One of the fastest civics in my city (the owner built my motor) is an ls/vtec turbo in a civic coupe. It dynoed at 318 whp and 240 lbs/trq.

Damn 318whp/240lbs.... that the probs with honda motors.. lot of hp but no torque
anyway ive seen a sohc vtec turbo too... and supposedly its one of the easiest thing to put a turbo in it. Still I need the turbo for it... and the vtec dosent improve the Hp on my car Some friends told me to put a nitrous kit in it instead of busting my head for the turbo :S So what do I do.. Buy a turbo or buy a Nitrous kit, Sell THAT CAR thanks |
