Question re: "Deuce and a halfs"
I'm contemplating picking up a surplus USGI 2.5 ton truck. Anybody familiar with them? What should a decent one go for? How hard are they to get parts for, and to find somenbody competent to repair them? Are they street-legal in the original military configuration?

man, that sucks about your friend's vehicle. I know rules are somewhat different down here, though. I know a guy who has a WWII "halftrack", which he was able to make street legal by modifying it (the main mod was replacing the metal track with a composite track so it wouldn't rip up the road, it already had signalling gear)
