Saying goodbye to an old friend.
RIP: '92 Ford Escort Wagon
My Eulogy: Although you were automatic, with liters 1.9, You lived a full life, and were often on my mind. You looked like a boy scout project, but I didn't care, Because no matter what, quickly you got me there. I remember the time, you topped 99; And here and there, you got some air. You're an old woman, and your CV joint now has arthritis. Your rear brake lines rusted, and now they are busted. For twelve years you have taken me around. I salute you, and hope you rust happily. *tear* Ever feel that way about a car, although it's not the fastest or most attractive, it was always reliable??? I love this car, and hate to see its repair cost outvalue the car. |
My old '91 Chevy Corsica is getting the same way. I have had it since '96 when I was 16, and now it is has 204,000 miles and is rapidly deteriorating. It has only left me stranded once, when the fuel pump failed.

Yeah, I know where you are. I've had my '91 Tracker for about six years now and its looking like I'll be getting rid of it this weekend.
This is the car I had in high school and all through college so it's got a lot of memories. I've driven the shit out of it, it had 119k miles when I got it and now it has 175k miles and aside from the body, brakes, paint, and clutch wearing out the engine is still very strong. But hey! Time to move on, right! I think a ZX3 is in my near future :D |
My 82 chevy van is at moment having a enigne rebuild then a body job and she will be like new....a little TLC and a car/van will last for year and years:)
