Motown Muscle Cars
"Woodward Dream Cruise 2004" is an annual thing here in detroit, where people bring out there cars, new & old, and cruise up and down woodward avenue. woodward, since the late 40's, has been a place where people come to eat, drink, hang out, cruise and drag race. There are many 50's style diners and bars. There is much nostalgia surrounding the event, as Detroit is obviously America's car capital, where all the major American car companies are headquartered.
Called the planet's largest one-day auto show, 1.5 million spectators were estimated to line the streets this year. Newspaper article: Auto junkies roll into past on a sentimental journey Ford Mustang Pontiac Firebird Chevy Camaro Z28 Blown Saturn?!?!? Bling-Mer Until 2005... wooh! i think my favourites are the mustang, dodge challanger and corvette ... not generally a big fan of american cars but some of those are rather tasty
as to the connection between snakes and horses (Ford Mustang Cobra) i can only suggest the following analogy - Ford Sierra Cosworth - model is Sierra, Cosworth is an engineering company who (i presume) helped with the engine or similar ... like Mini and Mini Cooper? It did just say Cobra on the air-intake didn't it?

the corvette was sweet, looked to be in great condition. I was looking at something else and heard this loud rumble behind my back to see the corvette going by, I almost missed the shot. It was LOUD. The firehawk was insane. This one was very clean, very trick carbon fiber intake, racing slicks, and nitrous injection. I forgot to get an interior picture, I wanted to see how he had the nitrous set up. Last edited by powerclown; 08-23-2004 at 05:52 PM.. |

PC,
You should move these pics over to Tilted Motors. The crowd over there would enjoy them. I know I did. Thanks for posting them.

OK it should be obvious by now that I'm no expert on 60's musclecars.
I merely take the pictures lol... Feel free to fill in the names and/or years, for reference. (Hey CamaroRS1967, if you want to, go ahead and post pics of your ride here. And anyone else, as well.) Last edited by powerclown; 08-24-2004 at 04:01 PM.. |

thanks for the great pics, I never get tired of looking at classic cars, Ford, Mopar, GM, I love them all (of course I have my favorites, but I appreciate the work it takes to get a 20, 30, or 40 year old car in shape like that)
