Just a 5-series with a big engine and staggered wheels. All the power in the world couldn't make up for it's ugliness.

I love BMWs. Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you how much of an avid BMW fan I really am...
BUT.... I'm not so sure on this one. Don't get me wrong, I love the engine. But I think the wheels could be much better, and some design elements could have been done better as well. I don't think it looks as well planted and squat as the last generation M5, which I am in love with. Just my $.02

The rims are the only thing on the outside that I don't like too much, and I wish that all manufacturers wuld stop covering up their engines with big slabs of plastic.
One of my friends is planning on getting one of these, and not only does he drive people around, he's the kind of guy that sometimes lets good friends drive his car. |

a tl could not stand a chance against an M5, the only other cars that can take it on are pure sport cars. what other car do you know of that is comfortabe with the tach living at 8250 rpm with a v10
(the car looks better with dark colors and shadwline trim)

I don't like the headlights or the the tailights, they look too catlike to me.

this may be one of those designs that looks a little weird at first, but less so as more and more start to look like it. as for the engine--WOW. verdict: I'd hit it (whoops wrong forum again!)

lol. Seriously, I'm a Bimmer man at heart (even though I think Merceds has surpassed them in the past few years). I've loved what they've done in the past years (even the new designs) and think that they have a lot of potential in the future. I'm hoping that this pushes other car companies (::coughAudiSaabandVolvocough: to make cars that can compete. People all mention "how expensive" it is. Seriously, though, I'd rather spend money on my car than on my house. My house, is just a house. The car is a member of my family. 15 months' salary is not too much to pay for a member of the family.
