Door Lock Cylinders

Hello all.

I have a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder and the driver's side door lock cylinder has broken off. I have done some searches on google and yahoo for a place to buy a new one, but haven't been able to find one place that sells them.

Does anyone know where to find a new door lock cylinder on the net or in real life?

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to buy a new cylinder from one of those places, if not, go to your local Nissan Dealership. You can definitely order a new one from those sources.

Yea, I've tried these sites and have gone to Autozone in person. No one seems to have it anywhere. On top this, the Nissan dealer wants well over $100 for this stupid little part and it will take 6 weeks to get it. Any other ideas?

Ask your dealership if they know of a salvage that deals in Nissans. They should know a source. Be prepared though you are going to have to get a locksmith and either re key the replacement cylinder or re key entire vehicle including the ignition.<p>http://www.usedpartslive.com/live/1/year/NISSAN/

Oh man. That stinks. Call local junkyards. I guess.

Say what?!?! It shouldn't take more than a couple of days to get...I'm not sure what all is involved when you get a new lock set on that vehicle, but I don't think you can get JUST the lock cylinder. You end up with a new lock set for that door. You can have the lock cylinder recoded to your original key at a locksmith for a small fee, too. I work at a Nissan dealer...if I remember tomorrow, maybe I'll look it up for ya. But six weeks...that's bullshit. Unless it's on some stupid backorder or some such nonsense.

OK...just checked it out for ya. I'd need your VIN to make sure of it, and then know if you have power windows or not, but the two options I have would top out around $76 or so. One option is only $45, roughly. Any Nissan dealer could have this stuff within 2-3 days.

Here's the Nissan part numbers:

H0600-01G00 - $45 roughly

OR

80600-61G87 - $76 roughly

EDIT: Checked local depot stock, and the local depot has them, so there is no backorder. The dealer telling you this is selling you a complete load of shit.

COOL MAN! Thank you so much for looking this up. Yeah, $100 did seem excessive for it. Glad I posted here.

One thing to remember is that not all dealers sell at list. On the second set, our cost to someone off of the street is $100.19. Those prices there are list, and my personaly cost would be less than that yet. If you decide you need them, it shouldn't be a big problem to order them for you, if you want. As I mentioned, I would have to have your VIN, and if you have power windows with one touch down.

Decent locksmiths may have your lock as well. And they'll usually match your key for free when you buy the cylinder from them.
