Why that guy didn't turn off his car before jumping is anyones guess. After a miracle like that, he leaves it running and blows his motor. Go figure.

It was probably stolen, Boo. He didn't care about the motor, he just wanted to get away before the cops got there.

I can't even imagine the look on the adjuster's face when the owner of this car called in the claim. The estikate must've been truly interesting.

I've been staring at those pictures for five minutes now. Thanks for sharing that link. Reminds me of this: http://www.ladder54.com/Photosplane.htm. Not so unusual for a plane to hit wires...this guy was just really lucky...depending on how you look at it.

I would have liked to see that in action. That must have been some kind of ride from the drivers seat.

Similar thing happened to a relative of mine. Instead of hanging, the car tore in half between the front and passenger doors, turned almost inside-out, and threw him a hundred feet down the road.

I know what you mean, I hit a pole this past winter and well my van still drives fine...if I had a new car I would need a whole new front end and Air Bags.

Mine I need a Bumper and right fender $200(CDN)

Yeah, the strength of those wires are amazing...

I just recently saw an accident where a truck hit 2 poles - instead of knocking them down, they just broke off about 10-12 feet up, with the entire top of both poles just suspended there, supported only by the wires...
