Alright brother, here comes another. I take it the prelude motor is better than the other Honda/Acura motors?

qualitywise, no it's not. Every motor Honda makes is incredibly high quality.
It's got more displacement (2.2L) than most engines - to give you an idea the Integra Type R uses a 1.8L motor - but it's also heavier. So, for instance, if you swap an H22 (Prelude) motor into your Civic, you'll go faster, but your handling is gonna be compromised. |

It really depends on what you swap it with. The last motor they put in a Prelude could not contend with any V6 Accord. In fact the 6th generation Accord V6 Coupe, being the first generation to get such a trim, replaced the Prelude in the market.
The swap would need to be in either a Civic or a 5th gen Accord.

The 22b swap is not the honda, but a subaru 22b motor to replace a regular impreza motor. They are very rare in North America because this engine (plus tranny, wiring harness) were never imported and unly a few hundred were made in any year. The 22b preceded the sti. Because only a couple of thousand were made worldwide, and none came to North America, there is a big question about whether one of our members is telling the truth about his 22b swap. Considering that you would pay thousands for the engine, a little more for the upgraded tranny, and spend dozens of hours splicing two wiring harnesses together. Don't forget the custom-made motor mounts, new fuel pump, different driveshafts, and other crap.

Indeed the 22b being reffered to is a Subaru engine. Hence the reason its being allegedly swapped into a Subaru.
Honda uses similar engine codes or whatever they are. I believe they have an b16,b18,b20 etc. Mazda uses the 20b as their 3 rotor 2L rotary engine.
