bad30th, you always say that you are wrong when I show up and there is no use in continuing, and well no you aren't wrong you are entitlted to your opinion, but people will disagree with it if they so choose, as I am mine, you disagree with me quite often and I don't care. You just can't take it that someone might disagree with your knowledge.

Please grow up and try and have a normal discussion about this without making it personal as you do so often, it would be appreciated by all.

Why must you make snide comments about everything that I say? I simply stated my opinion on the car and on your thought that no one disagreed with Hal because he is the boss. Am I supposed to avoid all threads that you post in? Please let me know so I can continue posting in motors.

Thank You

J

Well, its apparant that I am wrong because you read so. You go right on reading all your car knowledge....I'll go actually do it.

I'm tired of you picking out the one thing from my posts that you deem incorrect and replying to that, while not even touching to rest.

I'm about done also.

Post whatever you want jay.

I concede....the TL is....

What about the new Chrysler 300C? I've bought one recently and it is an amazing vehicle. Just some input to ponder over.

I've never driven a 300C. How do you think it compares to other vehicles that have been mentioned? (Acura TL, BMW 3-series, Infiniti G35, Volvo s60, etc...)

Well the new 300C has got a hemi, first of all. Huge power. Chrysler has come out with Multi-Displacement System that turns off four of the 8 cylinders seamlessly to improve mpg. You can't even tell when it does this either. The interior is great and the tortoise shell accents are a great touch. Top quality leather. Exterior styling is what catches your eyes. It is a very unique vehicle and it is up to par with nearly all luxury vehicles under 55k. Performance wise, it is pretty close to the Infiniti G35 but more power. I have kind of skipped around a bit and left some other information out but oh well.

Nice thread fellas. I thought about a TL, as well as that new 300C and the S60 2.5T AWD Volvo. I need a AWD car of an SUV. I like the audi's S4's as well

So undecided!

Anyone, to stick with the topic, the TL is very impressive this year.. It has come along way.

The 300C is a nice car that I wouldn't buy. It looks a little too much like a Bentley copy(and a rather cheap one). I am so sick of the Hemi, what are they going to put it in next, or is there anything they haven't put one in.

You keep right on living that race car driver lifestyle bad30th, you are the man because of it.(or so you think)

Wasn't it you who was just telling me how much you have read about cars and racing? I guess you doing it and me doing it are two different things.

I never picked one thing from your post I was commenting on the topic and also on a car that was mentioned by numerous people the Camaro.

Seems to me anyways you just don't like people disagreeing with you, just my opinion though.

I'm done with this little side trip with you, now back to the topic at hand, sorry for the off topic comments I have made, they will be the last.

We'll have to wait and see how long the SRT-4, (who am I kidding it's a neon) will hold together.

I've read, and heard from people who have driven them that fit and finish aren't exactly strong points.

Not really surprising, though they do look rather cheap.

Thats their whole point though. Power on the cheap. You dont get a 20k car with that power and think they aren't going to cut any corners in manufacturing it.

From head on the TL looks awesome. I don't like the profile. The fender flares, the roof line, the stripe, none of those elements blend well with the aggressive angular look of the fronend. It just seems like they put a lot of good design elements together without working hard enough to make them coherent.

The interior is a 9/10. I hope other companies are taking notes. I'm not too sure about some of the included gadgets like bluetooth. I know what bluetooth is but what is its purpose in the TL?

I also think the engine/manual transmission is great 9/10. I think the TL has one of the best V6's ever built. I'd like to drive the 350Z and a TL back to back to evaluate but I think it's close. Ward has giving nissan one it's ten best engine awards every year since 1994 when the VQ(the engine in the 350Z and G35) was introduced. They've even called the VQ the best V6 ever made. I think it's going to be a tough call this year.

Yeah people have very strong feelings about cars. Stronger even than most of them would like to admit. Just as an example we don't have a thread in the sexuality forum about who's wife/girlfriend has the most perfect body with guys posting sexy pictures of their SO. Actually that's a good idea. What do you think Halx?

Guys will admit that someone elses wife is hotter, but they'll never admit that someone has a better car. Why is that?

the bluetooth in the TL links up with your BT-capable cell phone so you can take and make calls without moving your hands from the steering wheel. It's got voice recognition and you converse through your stereo.

As far as the engine and transmission goes - people are saying that the TL has the smoothest shifting yet. I certainly enjoy it.

That sounds really cool. This may be one of the best uses for bluetooth yet. Does your phone's address book show up on the nav screen or can you only intiate calls through the voice recognition system?
By the way do you have the manual or automatic transmission?

why are you here? Do any of your posts have any poimt at all? As for growing a set what does that have to do with anything? Please explain, I would like to hear why I and a some others don't "have a set." My guess is because we don't agree with you.

Now I am done with this little thing we have had going, it is getting annoying and pointless. One thread has already been locked because of it, try not to make it two.

Sorry for the off topic comments.

Which car do you think is so much better than the TL? In this segment I like the G35 the best, but in my eyes this is a very close race and there are several cars that make it a hard call. I think it would be fair to say that the 3-series, CTS, G35, and the TL are all near the pinnacle of automotive perfection. It's a good time to be a buyer in this segment.

Now if you are comparing these cars to the Neon-SRT, it certainly can win in the performance/dollar category, but if everyone was buying cars because of performance they'd still be making Z28s and we'd all be driving them.

uhhhhhhh ..............

hang on just a minute i think that every single car magazine in the world agrees that bmw created and perfected the near luxery car if you don't believe me read the review of a 3 series on edmunds.com they say it all the time

and hal about that 3 series you "smoked" what kind we talking about because it could not have been any of these, unless you were up against a driver who didn't know how to work a clutch, e46 325, 330 m3 e36 m3 or an e30 m3

if we were to break it down to an autocross course like that car is designed for also known as Europe all 3 series of any lineage would crush you because it isn't that ability to go fast really fast it is the abillity to keep speed through the turns that is rwd and that is he failure of fwd

i must however concede some styling points to the tl it does look pretty nice and attractive butis that what you really want when cruising 120 down the highway and johnny law sees you i don't know about you but at that point i kinda wana hide in the crowd

oh ramble ramble ramble ramble ramble ramble........

Nice.

My v70r has sweet blue gauges also. I mean really SWEET.

Plus it has AWD, active chassis suspension, and 300 kick ass horses blowing everything else away. Including M3's (not 0-60 times but 30-100 times).

I'll put my wagon up to any challenge with the winner being declared 'pinnacle of automotive achievement' ANY DAY OF the week.

I'm a long time volvo fanatic as this is my fourth. Other three all saw over 300,000 miles. I am also a Bronco freak and still have four of them....and I often argue for the 69 Bronco is the best 4x4 ever made. It's obviously not true, but the one I rebuilt has yet to not make it over or through something others had, left many a truck on the other side of an obstacle, and recovered several who went in over their heads She's the best I've ever seen

I always found the TL (actually everything from Acura except the vigor) quite intriguing. After mashing through the gears on an R...the decision was a no brainer, and the TL lost.

When I look at the front end, the car has to say something to me. Kinda like those Chevron commercials.

The TL says in a sly untrustworthy voice, "Hiya. Can I take your daughter out tonight? We'll be home by midnight."

The 300 says, "Durrrrrrr, hi guys."

I finally drove a 300C. The Hemi is great and it handles surprisingly well for such a big car. I'd say handling wise it compares well with the BMW 5 series. The only problem I had with it is the interior is amazingly cheap. if you push on the center panel (where the clock is) it actually flexes inwardly. It feels like they let Fisher-Price make the interior. But considering that it's 5-series sized with 5 series performance for onlly $35,000, it might be worth consideration.
